Beef Chili is a classic recipe that tastes delicious, is super filling, and very easy to make. Using beef for this recipe adds a ton of protein and keeps it low carb, but it can also be lightened up as well (options below). Serve this chili during the fall or winter in these delicious homemade bread bowls!

Ingredients needed for beef chili:

  • ground beef - for lower fast select 5% fat
  • yellow or white onion
  • garlic cloves
  • olive oil - another heart healthy oil like coconut or avocado oil would work as well.
  • can of chopped tomatoes in juice - the juice will be used in the recipe
  • beef broth - I usually opt for lower sodium
  • can of red beans - drained and rinsed
  • tomato paste
  • Seasonings - salt, cumin, garlic powder, coriander, chili powder

How to make beef chili recipe:

  • Prep all of the ingredients and set aside.
  • In a dutch oven or large pot, add oil, chopped onion, minced garlic, and cook for 5 minutes. Add the ground beef and cook, breaking apart, until mostly cooked through, 7-9 minutes.

How to lighted up beef chili:

This beef chili recipe is relatively healthy, but there are ways to lighten it up.

  • Replace the beef with ground turkey or ground chicken. This saves a lot of fat and calories.
  • Opt for garnishes that are lower in fat and calories - use part skim cheese, Greek yogurt in place of sour cream, and avocado for a heart healthy fat boost!

How to freeze and store chili:

  • To store leftover: Place in a glass or plastic container and into the fridge. The beef chili will keep for 4-5 days in the fridge.
  • To freeze: Once the chili has cooled, scoop it into a freezer safe ziplock bag. Remove excess air and then seal. Lay flat in the freezer and store for up to 3 months.
  • To defrost: Place frozen chili in the fridge the night before serving. To speed up defrosting, use your hands to break apart the block of chili once it starts defrosting.
  • To reheat: add the beef chili to a pot and simmer over medium heat for 10 minutes or use the microwave to reheat in serving bowls.

What to serve on the side:

Beef chili is a complete meal on it's own, but you might want to serve with some side dishes! I like to serve the chili in these delicious homemade bread bowls, but here are some more options:

Now that football season is upon us, I wanted to share one of my FAVORITE appetizers with you....Spinach Artichoke Egg Rolls! Yes, you read that right...your favorite creamy spinach artichoke dip stuffed into an egg roll wrapper and quickly friend into ooey-gooey egg roll perfection. They are the perfect game day snack or appetizer!

Air fried or deep fried, these Creamy Spinach Artichoke Egg Rolls are the perfect appetizer! They're crispy, creamy, and mouthwatering delicious!

Now, I'm seriously telling you that these Spinach Artichoke Egg Rolls are the BEST game day appetizer. They're creamy, cheesy, and full of delicious spinach artichoke dip that everyone goes insane over. It's SUPER easy wrapping this dip up in the egg roll shell and quickly frying it. Not into frying the egg rolls, I will share how to bake and air fry them as well.

How to make Spinach Artichoke Egg Rolls:

  • First get the ingredients together and make the dip. Set it aside.

  • Next, roll up the dip in the center of an egg roll wrapper (see how to video below), sing water to seal the edges.

  • Then pop these into about 2 inches of vegetable oil and fry a few minutes per side, or until golden brown.
    • I like to fry about 4 at a time because they need room to cook. You definitely don't want to crowd the pot and risk the egg rolls busting open

  • Let them rest on a cutting board for a few minutes while frying up the rest of the Spinach Artichoke Egg Rolls. You could also line it with paper towels to absorb the little bit of grease. Then I just pile them up on a serving dish and sprinkle some parmesan cheese and parsley over the top! Voila!

How to Air Fry the Egg Rolls:

  • Spray olive oil on the basket of your Air fryer using a Misto or oil sprayer (not Pam). Place the egg rolls in the air fryer basket, seam side down, with some space around each of them.
  • Lightly spray the tops of the spinach artichoke egg rolls with the oil spray.
  • Set the Air fryer to 360 degrees for 7 minutes. Flip, lightly spray with oil, and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the egg rolls, and let them sit for 5 minutes before cutting them in half.

Can I make ahead/freeze these egg rolls?

Yes and yes. I do think they are best made fresh, however:

  • To make ahead (say the night before you need them), I recommend making them but NOT frying them until you need them. Store them covered tightly in the refrigerator. When ready to fry, make sure the seams are still sealed; add water to seal if necessary.
  • To freeze: I recommend making them but NOT frying them. Wrap them tightly with plastic wrap and freeze. Allow to defrost overnight in the fridge, then fry or air according to below directions.

Ingredients
  • 1 10 ounce bag frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1 can artichoke hearts, chopped
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ⅓ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup sour cream or plain greek yogurt
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • dash pepper
  • dash salt
  • 11-13 egg roll wrappers --I used 12
  • 2-3 cups vegetable oil -about 2 inches deep in pot
  • 2 TBS grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 TBS parsley chopped
  • small bowl of water
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl add spinach, artichoke hearts, cream cheese, mozzarella, sour cream/greek yogurt, mayonnaise, garlic, pepper, and salt; using a fork mix thoroughly to combine. 

  2. Taking one egg roll wrapper, place it like a diamond facing you. Add about ¼ cup filling -maybe a little less- into the center of the wrapper. Dip your finger into the water and run finger along the edges of the wrapper. Fold the right side over, then pull down the top point, fold up the bottom point, and then roll the rest of the egg roll over. Press on edges to seal with the water. Repeat for all egg rolls **watch how to video above this recipe box for visual directions**

For deep frying:
  1. Place oil into a dutch oven or heavy bottom skillet; heat over medium to warm oil.

  2. Place 4 egg rolls carefully into the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden brown, then carfully flip over and cook 1-2 more minutes or until golden brown. Remove and set aside. Repeat for all spinach artichoke egg rolls.

For Air Fryer:
  1. Spray olive oil on the basket of your air fryer . Place the egg rolls in the air fryer basket, seam side down, with some space around each of them. Lightly spray the tops of the spinach artichoke egg rolls with the oil spray.

  2. Set the air fryer to 360 degrees for 7 minutes. Flip, lightly spray with oil, and cook for 2 minutes. Carefully remove the egg rolls, and let them sit for 5 minutes before cutting them in half.

To serve:
  1. Place on a serving dish, then top with grated parmesan cheese and parsley. Serve warm and watch disappear!

Holiday treats are so fun to make and get you in the festive mood! This Sugar Cookie Fudge is the perfect delicious treat for dessert, parties, gifts, or cookie exchanges! Pair this with Oreo Fudge, Candy Cane Fudge and Chocolate Fudge and serve a platter of various fudges!

With only 5 ingredients, this sugar cookie fudge is so easy to make! It's perfect for holiday gatherings or parties!

Making this Sugar Cookie fudge is so easy, and takes less than 10 minutes. Here's what you need and how to make it:

Ingredients for Fudge:

  • sweetened condensed milk - make sure you get sweetened, this is important.
  • white chocolate chips - you can use chocolate chips, white baking chocolate, or candy melts
  • sugar cookie mix - can be fund in the baking aisle, such as Betty Crocker brand
  • unsalted butter
  • vanilla extract
  • Christmas sprinkles - use sprinkle sugar or actual holiday sprinkles.

How to make Sugar Cookie Fudge:

  • Using a saucepan, add in the sweetened condensed milk and heat over medium heat until hot, stirring often. Once hot, add in the white chocolate, sugar cookie mix, butter, and vanilla extract.
  • Continue stirring until everything has melted and the fudge mixture is smooth. It is very important to stir consistently as the fudge mixture is quick to burn.
  • Once smooth, pour into a prepared 9x9 baking dish. 
  • Sprinkle the sprinkles of your choice over the top and place into the fridge for at least 3 hours to allow the fudge to fully set. 
  • Once set, remove from the fridge. Remove the fudge from the dish and cut into 36 pieces.

How to store fudge:

Place the fudge in an airtight container. Leave on the counter for up to 3 days, or refrigerate up to 2-3 weeks.

Can you freeze fudge?

Yes. Store the fudge in a freezer safe container or bag. Freeze for up to 3 months.

How to defrost: Changing temperatures too rapidly can have undesirable effects on texture and flavor, so keep the frozen fudge in the plastic bag/container and thaw in the refrigerator.

Mongolian Chicken is one of the most popular Chinese food dishes. Typically ordered as take-out, but it's actually very easy to make at home. Serve this for dinner or lunch with a side of Hot & Sour Soup, Air Fryer Crab Rangoon, and Garlic Ginger Spinach for the perfect balanced meal!

How to make Mongolian Chicken:

  • Get all of the ingredients together.

  • Prepare the chicken breast by chopping it into bite size pieces. Add the ingredients for coating the chicken to a medium bowl, then toss the chicken to coat it completely. This mixture is important to make sure the chicken is seasoned and will get crispy when cooked. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.

  • Next, add the pan back to the stove top and add oil, ginger, garlic, and cook for a few minutes until fragrant. Then add the chilies and half of the green onions. Add the chicken back to the pan and cook for a minute.

  • Now for the sauce - mix everything for the sauce in a small bowl, then add it to the pan with the chicken.
  • Make a cornstarch slurry, then add that to the pan as well, bringing to a quick boil and then reducing the heat to simmer. The sauce will now thicken.

What is Mongolian Sauce made of?

The chicken is coated in a delicious blend of hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Mongolian sauce is sweet and sticky, and is the perfect coating for this crispy chicken.

Tips for making Mongolian Chicken:

  • Store the Mongolian chicken in an air-tight container for around 3 days in the refrigerator or around 2 months in the freezer.
  • Chicken breast can be replaces with thighs.
  • Want more bulk? Add vegetables like broccoli, mushrooms, zucchini, bell peppers, etc to the recipe!
  • I recommend using sesame oil for the best flavors, but other oils can be used as well.
  • Cut the chicken into similar size pieces so they cook evenly. Overcooking will yield chewy and rubbery chicken instead of juicy and tender.

Ingredients
For chicken:
  • 1 lb. chicken breasts cut into bite-size pieces
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic chopped
  • ½ tablespoon ginger chopped
  • 3-4 dried red chilies
  • 2 bunches spring onions/green onions cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch + 1 tablespoon water
For Sauce:
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 3 tablespoons dark soy sauce reduced sodium
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ¼ cup of water
Instructions
For the sauce:
  1. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce, set aside.

For the chicken:
  1. In a bowl add chicken, salt, black pepper, and cornstarch; mix to coat the chicken fully.
  2. In a pan heat 2 tablespoon oil and fry the chicken pieces on medium; occasionally stirring until crisp and golden on the outside and evenly cooked from the inside (3-4 min). Once done, transfer the chicken onto a plate.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan; add garlic and ginger; sauté on high for a few seconds until garlic becomes fragrant. Add dried red chilies and half of the cut spring onions; sauté for 1 minute. Add the cooked chicken; Mix well and sauté on high for 1 more minute. Pour in the reserved sauce.

  4. Make cornstarch slurry by mixing 1 teaspoon cornstarch with 1 tablespoon of water. Pour into the skillet and mix, then bring to a quick boil, reduce the heat and simmer. Add the rest of the cut spring onion and remove from heat.

  5. Garnished with dried red chilies, sesame seeds, and chopped green onions if desired. Serve immediately.

Fall is upon us and I'm seriously obsessed with everything fall – the food, college football, hay rides, pumpkin patches, foliage, cooler weather, falling leaves, Halloween, sweaters, boots…you name it, I love it. This year I decided to whip up some spiced caramel apple cider in my slow cooker, because…why not? It fills my house with that amazing fall aroma, and it warms my soul! The recipe for this Crock Pot Caramel Apple Cider is delicious and super easy, you'll be making it all the time this fall season!

When I first whipped this Slow Cooker Caramel Apple Cider up, I had totally forgotten the whipped cream. So, in true Starbucks fashion, I added some. I’m glad I did, because it was sooo good! AND the caramel drizzle?! Yes, you need that too. If you need a recommendation on a slow cooker, I LOVE my snap lid slow cooker from Crock Pot! It's the best!

How to Make Crock Pot Apple Cider:

  1. Combine cider/juice, ground cinnamon, and caramel sauce in the slow cooker; whisk well to combine.
  2. Cover and cook on low for 3-5 hours.
  3. Serve in mason jars or mugs, top with whipped cream, caramel drizzle, and garnish with apple slices. Enjoy!

Like I mentioned earlier, this Caramel Apple Cider recipe is SUPER simple. You only need a handful of ingredients and then you just let it cook, so easy! I didn’t go the homemade route for my whipped cream or caramel this time, but you can, if you want. I have a great homemade caramel sauce recipe as well!

Now that it's fall, I love making savory soups that hit the spot! This Pumpkin Coconut Curry Soup has the perfect balance of spices, and it so delicious! It's also incredibly quick to make and healthy! Even if you aren't the biggest fan of pumpkin, this soup will blow your mind!

Savory fall dishes can be perfect even when the weather isn't too cold. This Apple Gouda Grilled Cheese or Cheesy Pumpkin Pasta are the perfect meal!

The Pumpkin Coconut Curry Soup came together super quick and it was very easy! I definitely recommend making it, even if you aren’t a ‘pumpkin person’ because it was so good and not overly pumpkin-y. This soup would also make a delicious side for Thanksgiving dinner.

Ingredients needed for the Pumpkin Soup:

  • 1 yellow onion - chopped finely
  • 1 small pumpkin (about 5 cups of chopped pumpkin cubes - cut into 1 inch pieces), or 2 cans pumpkin puree (not pumpkin pie filling)
  • 2 roma tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 russet potato or sweet potato - peeled and chopped into ½ inch cubes
  • curry powder
  • salt
  • cayenne pepper
  • vegetable or chicken stock
  • half and half or milk or heavy cream (all will work fine)
  • 5 ounce can coconut cream not coconut milk
    • Use real coconut cream in this recipe, NOT coconut milk.
      • If you are having trouble finding it in your grocery store, check the ethnic aisle and then check the cocktail aisle - sometimes they put it near piña colada mix!
      • The cream is sweeter and really super decadent for this. It adds a bit more calories, but overall this is a really healthy dish, so it’s okay. Trust me when I give you these tips!

How to make Pumpkin Coconut Curry Soup:

  • In a large Dutch Oven or soup pot, add onion and sauté for 1 minute. Add pumpkin chunks, tomatoes, potatoes, curry powder, salt, and cayenne pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes over medium high heat.
  • Add veggie/chicken stock and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer over low heat for at least 20 minutes (preferably longer).
  • Add coconut cream and half & half. Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender, and blend until mixed and creamy.
  • Ladle into bowls, and top with roasted pumpkin seeds and a splash of cream if desired.

Can you make Pumpkin Coconut Curry Soup in a Slow Cooker or Crock Pot?

YES! Add all ingredients aside from the coconut cream and milk, cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4-5 hours. Continue with step #2 from the directions, adding cream/coconut cream, then blending.

These Air Fryer Chicken Thighs can be seasoned to your desire, but this parmesan garlic butter marinade is exceptionally tasty! Packing tons of flavor while keeping the chicken juicy, these chicken thighs are the perfect dinner.

Air frying is my favorite way to cook meals lately, because it is so quick and easy, and has minimal cleanup! If you haven't tried these Air Fryer Chicken wings, you need to NOW! These chicken thighs are no exception! Serve them alongside easy Air Fryer Roasted Asparagus, Air Fryer Roasted Broccoli, or delicious Salty Herbed Smashed Red Potatoes!

  • chicken thighs (skinless bone-in or with skin and bones)
  • unsalted butter
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • garlic cloves - peeled and finely chopped/minced
  • kosher salt
  • ground paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (can use basil, oregano, and thyme in place of Italian seasoning)

How to make Air Fryer Chicken Thighs:

  • Melt the butter in the microwave or stove top and pour it into a large bowl. Add grated parmesan, garlic, seasonings, pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
  • Add the chicken thighs to the large bowl, then mix everything thoroughly.
  • Optional: If you have time, cover the bowl with a lid (or cling film) and refrigerate for several hours.

  • Spray the air fryer basket lightly with oil spray. Transfer the marinated chicken thighs to the air fryer basket in a single layer (do not overlap the chicken for even cooking).

  • Buffalo chicken thighs: Season the raw chicken thighs with salt, pepper, and paprika. Coat with buffalo sauce (homemade or store bought).
  • Cilantro Lime chicken thighs: Using the melted butter, add freshly chopped cilantro, salt, pepper, garlic, and ¼ cup lime juice. Marinade the chicken in the mixture then cook following above directions.

Having Asian salad dressing on hand is a must for every salad lover. Instead of buying it all the time, it's very simple to make with only a handful of ingredients you likely already have in your pantry or fridge. Pair this with a Crunchy Delicious Asian Salad for the perfect meal or side dish.

This Asian Salad or asian slaw is super crunchy and majorly delicious! With a homemade Asian Dressing, this will be a favorite quick salad!

How to make easy Asian Salad Dressing:

  • Get all the ingredients together: olive oil, rice vinegar, honey, sesame oil, soy sauce, salt, minced garlic, and ginger paste.
  • Mix everything together in a sealable jar or container until all the ingredients are combined.
  • Place in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together, then serve as desired.

Ingredients needed for Asian Dressing:

  • Olive oil - I recommend using an extra virgin olive oil for this recipe.
  • Rice Vinegar - found in the asian or international aisle at the grocery store. Do NOT use 'seasoned' rice vinegar in this recipe as that has added sugar and seasoning and the rest of the recipe would need to be adjusted.
  • Honey - the sweetness of the honey will balance out the recipe's tang. You can also substitute maple syrup if you don't have honey.
  • Sesame oil - this is very important and adds a ton of flavor and depth to the dressing. Can be found by the oils in the grocery store or in the international aisle, or on Amazon.
  • Soy sauce - I recommend using a dark reduced sodium soy sauce for this recipe. Regular sodium packs a lot of salt and this can throw off the balance of the asian salad dressing.
  • Salt - adding salt will balance out the recipe without having too much from a regular soy sauce.
  • Minced garlic - this will add a lot of flavor to the dressing. Garlic powder can be substituted in a pinch, but I prefer fresh. Use ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder in place of minced.
  • Ginger paste - this can be found near the herbs/vegetables in the grocery store. It is usually stored in the coolers. Ground ginger can be substituted, however in that case just use a dash of ground ginger.
  • Optional: add a dash of red pepper flakes or a squeeze of sriracha to add some heat to the dressing.

How to store homemade salad dressing:

  • I like to store my dressings in a mason jar or salad dressing shaker/container.
  • Whatever you store the asian dressing in, make sure that it has an airtight seal to keep the dressing fresh.

How long does homemade dressing last in the fridge?

Since this asian dressing is vinegar based, it can be stored up to 3 weeks in the fridge. Be sure to shake vigorously before serving.

Fall cooking is about to be in full swing, and this recipe for Waffle Iron Caramel Apple Pies is the best creation since sliced bread. With only a handful of ingredients and taking only a few minutes to make, you are going to LOVE this fall treat!

Fall cooking is such a treat, and it can be sweet like these delicious Caramel Apple Dumplings or savory like this One Pot Cheesy Pumpkin Pasta! There is always a great recipe waiting to be tried, and these Caramel Apple Pies made with a waffle iron are no exception!

By using a Waffle Iron, apple pie is available all the time! In about 10 minutes from start to finish, this delicious fall treat is ready to eat! We use pre-made pie crust which is a great shortcut, but of course you are welcome to use your favorite pie crust recipe and make it homemade as well.

I like to call this a lazy-baker recipe because I use canned apple pie filling, pre-made pie crust, and jar of caramel sauce (although I like my homemade caramel as well)…it works PERFECTLY.  The only thing you actually have to ‘make’ is the glaze, which is just powdered sugar and milk mixed together!

How to make Waffle Iron Caramel Apple Pies:

  • Take the pre-made pie crust, roll it out, and cut it into circles (use a small bowl or a cup), then add a little pie filling to the middle, and pinch/fork the edges closed.
  • Place into a greased waffle iron and cook it for about 5 minutes.
    • Now, my iron was telling me it was done, but it wasn’t, so you might have to open it a few times to check to see if it’s done, but you want to make sure the dough is cooked. This took about 5 minutes.
  • Then, whip up the glaze and drizzle over the top. Drizzle the caramel on top, too!

These are the perfect cute desserts for fall. You can easily made several of these and serve them at a party or for dessert! I was able to make 2 apple pies from each sheet of pie crust (most boxes have 2 sheets, so you should be able to make 4 with one box), but it also depends on the size of the bowl you use to cut your circles.

Ingredients
  • 2 premade pie crusts should be 2 in one box, unrolled
  • 1 small can apple pie filling you need about ½ cup total
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ teaspoon milk + additional if needed
  • 4 teaspoon caramel sauce
Instructions
  1. Heat a belgian waffle iron, set aside.

  2. Using a small bowl (about 4 inches across the top), cut out 4 circles from each crust (8 total) Place about 2 TBS apple filling in the center of 4 circles. Place remaining dough circles over the top of the apple filling. Using your fingers, pinch the outside close, then use a fork to really secure the outside shut (you don't want a waffle iron full of apple filling!).

  3. One at a time, cook each pie in the waffle iron. Check for done-ness - the dough needs to be cooked (it took me about 5 minutes per pie). Remove from iron and repeat with remaining pies.

  4. In a small bowl mix the powdered sugar and milk until completely combined. Add more milk if you need to thin the glaze, but careful not to add too much as you want it a little thick.

  5. Serve each pie with glaze and caramel drizzled over the tops. Serve warm!

With Halloween right around the corner, these are a MUST SAVE for all the parties and events coming up. I love Halloween and these cookies are simple to make, require no fancy cookie skills, and the kids love helping out with them.

Halloween recipes are so fun, and these are no exception! This recipe uses a shortcut method by using store-bought sugar cookie dough, but making the dough homemade is also an option.

How to make Monster Halloween Sugar Cookies:

  • Cooking supplies/tools needed for recipe:
    • Stand mixer
    • Mixing bowls
    • Measuring cups and spoons
    • Rolling Pin
    • Baking sheet
    • Wire rack
    • Cookie Cutters (sunflower or sunshine shape like these)
    • Icing bottles
    • Toothpicks
  • Get all the ingredients together:
  • For the dough: refrigerated pre-made sugar cookie dough (such as pillsbury found in the fridge section of the grocery store), and all purpose flour.
  • For the icing: powdered sugar, meringue powder, water, and gel food coloring.
  • For the cookies: monster candy eyes.

To make: Combine cookie dough and flour.  Roll to ¼” thickness. Cut out cookie shapes.  Bake at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes or until the edges start to brown.

Prepare the icing:

  • In a stand mixer combine powdered sugar and meringue powder.  Add 8 tablespoons of water, using the whisk attachment, beat for 1 minute on low.  Continue to add water one tablespoon at a time until the icing slowly drizzles from the whisk when lifted.
  • Once prepared - if the icing is too hard, add more water one drop at a time.  Too runny, add more icing sugar one teaspoon at a time.
  • Separate the icing into small mixing bowls and add desired food coloring. Mix well. Scoop the icing into piping bags or icing bottles.

How to decorate the Halloween Sugar cookies:

  1. Make sure the cookies are cooled.
  2. Line around the edge of the design with icing
  3. Fill the middle.  Use a toothpick to poke bubbles or direct icing into holes.
  4. Repeat for all cookies using different colors (whatever colors desired).

Allow each design area to dry before moving on. The icing should completely dry, at room temperature for at least two hours, before adding piping details to the top.

  • Pipe a small amount of the same colored icing on the tops of the cookies where you want to put the eyes. The number of candy eyes can vary per cookie.
  • Add the candy eyes and press firmly to adhere to the icing. Repeat for all halloween sugar cookies, then let dry for at least one hour prior to serving.

Ingredients

As a Mexican food lover, I am always looking for ways to flavor my food with a Mexican flare. These Mexican Baked Eggs are made in one skillet, which is great for cleanup, and they have the perfect spicy flavor. This meal is incredibly healthy so you can feel good feeding it to your family for breakfast, brunch, or dinner!

I make it at least a few times a month and my husband is always asking when we will be having it next. My husband and I usually eat two eggs each, and the kids are happy with one; it's the perfect egg recipe for dinner! Pair these eggs with the BEST Air Fryer Bacon for the perfect meal!

How to make Mexican Baked Eggs:

  • Roundup all of the ingredients for the Mexican Baked Eggs and preheat the oven. 
  • Using a large skillet, saute the onions and peppers with the spices. Add the beans, diced tomatoes (with juice), and green chilies and bring to a boil. Turn down to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the sauce has thickened up a bit.
  • Using the back of a spoon, make a small indentation or pocket in the tomato mixture and carefully crack an egg into it. Add the rest of the eggs, about an inch apart and one in the center. 
  • Place your skillet into the oven (make sure it's oven safe - if you aren't sure, wrap tin foil around the handle), and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the skillet and switch the oven to BROIL. Sprinkle grated cheese over the top of the egg mixture, then return to oven. Broil for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Be careful not to burn! 
  • Remove and serve topped with chives, cilantro, sour cream or Greek yogurt, and tortillas if desired.

How to Serve Mexican Baked Eggs:

  • I like to top my Mexican Baked Eggs with cilantro and greek yogurt, but there are a few different options!
  • Adding chives adds a little crunch to the dish, and greek yogurt or sour cream add a creamy cool texture to balance the spice.
  • If you aren't a fan of spicy food, use only 2 ounces of the diced green chilies instead of the whole can.
  • Serve with corn tortillas and make tacos or use them to dip into the egg yolk. You could also serve plain or over rice! My husband loves eating it plain and scooping it with tortilla chips.
  • Another great way to serve these Mexican Baked Eggs would be in a mini bread bowl! You could transfer the tomato mixture to a hollowed out mini bread bowl, then crack an egg on top of each one, and place into the oven to bake/broil. This would be so cute for a brunch party!

Are Mexican Baked Eggs healthy? Yes.

  • This vegetarian dish is low in calories, with only 204 calories per one egg serving, and low in fat (9 grams). 
  • There are 13 grams of protein per serving (one egg), so if you have 2 servings, which I often do, you will be consuming 26 grams of protein at one meal which is great especially for a vegetarian dish. 
  • Mexican baked eggs are also very low in carbs (17g) and have 6 grams of fiber, making the net carbs even lower at 8 grams.
    • How to calculate net carbs: total carbohydrate (17g) minus fiber content (6g) and sugar alcohols (3g).

Things you might need to make Mexican Baked Eggs:

  • High sided large skillet: I like using a high sided skillet because it helps prevent splatter If your skillet isn't oven safe, all you have to do is wrap some foil around the handle so it doesn't melt. 
  • Diced Green Chilies: I look for diced green chilies in the international aisle and they are typically near the jalapeños and salsas. They typically come in 4 ounce cans. 
  • Large Plastic Serving Spoon: I like a large plastic serving spoon for serving these Mexican Baked Eggs. It won't scratch your skillet and makes getting the mixture out very easy.

Ingredients
  • ½ large jalapeno diced
  • 1 small onion finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil depending on the pan
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 14.5 oz. can Fire roasted diced tomatoes with juice (do not drain)
  • 1 15 oz. can black beans rinsed and drained well
  • 1 4 oz. can diced green chiles
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 ounces colby jack cheese, shredded
  • whole wheat/corn tortillas for serving
  • chopped cilantro or chives for garnish, if desired
  • sour cream or greek yogurt for garnish, if desired
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven 450F.

  2. Heat olive oil in a pan with deep sides and saute onions and jalapeños 2 minutes. Add ground cumin and cayenne pepper and saute 2-3 minutes more. Add diced tomatoes with juice, black beans, and diced green chilies to the pan and let cook at very low simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the mixture is slightly thickened.

  3. Using the back of a spoon, make an indentation in the mixture, and crack an egg into the little pocket. Repeat around the pan with all eggs. Spoon the rest of the mixture around eggs, avoiding the yolk.

  4. Place skillet (ovenproof or cover handle with tin foil) in oven for about 5 minutes, or until the eggs are starting to look set but are still fairly wet looking. Remove and change oven to broil (Be careful not to burn yourself!)

  5. Sprinkle cheese over the top and place under broiler for 1-3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

  6. Be sure to remove while egg yolk is still soft. If you don't like runny eggs, cook 2-3 minutes longer (it is still very good this way).

  7. Serve hot, with whole wheat flour/corn tortillas to dip into egg. Also good with salsa and sour cream or Greek yogurt on top!

How to make Crunchy Chicken Salad with Peanut Dressing:

  • First, prep and cook the chicken. The chicken can be grilled, sautéed in a pan, air fried, or baked. Add some teriyaki sauce to the chicken while cooking for an outstanding flavor!
  • Next, make the peanut dressing: add rice vinegar, ginger, soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, vegetable oil, and peanut butter to a salad dressing shaker or a small bowl. Shake or whisk until completely combined. Place in the refrigerator until using.
  • Heat 2 cups of water in a small sauce pot and bring to a boil. Add the sugar snap peas and flash boil for 2 minutes. Drain immediately and run cold water over the top to stop the cooking process. Set them aside.
  • Lastly, assemble the crunchy chicken salad: Add spinach and romaine to a large salad bowl. Top with peppers, onions, cucumbers, and carrots. Slice the grilled chicken and add over the top. Sprinkle sesame seeds and peanuts, then drizzle the peanut dressing over the top! Serve immediately.

Using the air fryer is a great way to make chicken nuggets because it saves a ton of fat and calories by avoiding deep frying. Our favorite nuggets are from Chick-fil-A, so I wanted to make Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets as close to the CFA recipe as possible! Serve them with delicious homemade Chick-fil-A Sauce on the side!

Why go to the fast-food restaurant for your chicken nugget craving? They cost more and are much less flavorful as well as healthier since they are cooked in the air fryer. If you love Chick-fil-A, these air fryer Chick-fil-A chicken nuggets is one of the most delicious recipes you can make. Just marinate them, bread them, and toss them in your air fryer tray and they are done in less than 10 minutes.

This copycat recipe is not only healthier but actually tastes better than the fast-food nuggets. They are made with real chicken breast marinated in a special milk and pickle juice mixture for intense flavor.

These are the simple ingredients needed for this air fryer chicken nuggets recipe.

  • Boneless skinless chicken breasts: Chopped into one-inch pieces.
  • Eggs: Large eggs at room temperature.
  • Milk: We used whole milk, but you can use your own favorite.
  • Pickle juice
  • All-purpose flour
  • Corn starch
  • Seasoning: We used smoked paprika, black pepper, kosher salt, onion powder, powdered sugar, and garlic powder. 

How to make Air fryer Chick-Fil-A Nuggets from scratch?

  • Prepare the chicken: Put chicken pieces in a small bowl or gallon-sized Ziploc bag with pickle juice and milk. Toss and cover the bowl or zip up the baggie and put it in the fridge for at least 45 minutes or overnight.
  • Add eggs: After the chicken has finished marinating, add whisked eggs and mix thoroughly. 
  • Preheat air fryer: Then, set the fryer to 375 degrees F while you coat chicken pieces in the flour mixture. 
  • Make the breading mixture: Combine flour and the rest of the ingredients in a large shallow bowl or a different gallon-size Ziploc bag. Stir or shake it well until it is combined.

  • Coat the chicken: After, spoon half the chicken pieces into the bag or bowl with a slotted spoon and mix well. Use another slotted spoon to remove the chicken nuggets and put them on a sheet pan while you continue mixing the rest of the chicken until they are all thoroughly coated with flour mixture. 
  • Place the chicken: Immediately, mist the air fryer basket with olive oil spray before placing the chicken in a single layer. Leave enough space for the hot air to get through. Then also spray the top of your chicken with cooking oil.

  • Cook the chicken: Lastly, air fry the chicken pieces for 7-8 minutes or until they are crispy and golden brown, flipping halfway.

  • Serve: Finally, serve your delicious air-fried homemade chicken nuggets with Chick-fil-A sauce or your your favorite dipping sauce. 

Recipe variations:

  • Chicken tenders: Alternatively, you can make these into chicken strips instead of nuggets. The cook-time will be longer for larger sizes of chicken.
  • Other cuts: In fact, if you like dark meat, you can use boneless skinless chicken thighs. 
  • Another oil: Feel free to use another oil such as avocado or peanut oil.
  • Egg wash: Try using the egg separately as an egg wash in a separate large bowl instead of mixing them together. 
  • Cayenne pepper: Spice up your air fryer nuggets by adding some cayenne pepper to the breading.

The pickle flavor is just barely noticeable in these chicken nuggets but it is an important part of the marinade for another reason; The acid in the pickle juice makes the meat more tender. And the salt from the juice acts as a brine, making it even more tender. 

Is this air fryer chicken nugget recipe healthy?

With only 280 calories, 6 grams of fat, and a whopping 34 grams of protein, these air fryer chicken nuggets are much healthier than those in the restaurant because these are not deep fried. Using the air fryer for this recipe cuts half the fat and calories! 

How to store leftovers:

  • Store: If by chance you have leftover chicken nuggets, which is unusual, you can save them in your fridge in an airtight container for three or four days. 
  • Freeze: Why not make extra and freeze them for easy thaw and heat nuggets later. You can keep them in the freezer for up to 90 days.
  • Reheat: When you are ready to serve these delicious Chick-fil-A nuggets, just heat them in the air fryer at 400 degrees F for five minutes. 

Recipe tips:

  • Make sure the internal temperature of the largest chicken nugget is at least 165 degrees F.  
  • Use buttermilk if you do not have any pickle juice.
  • Fry these chicken nuggets in small batches for extra crispiness. 
  • The powdered sugar gives these nuggets a subtly sweet flavor but you can substitute it with a sugar substitute like Splenda.

Ingredients
  • 2 pounds chicken breasts boneless skinless - cut into bite size pieces
  • ⅔ cup dill pickle juice
  • ⅔ cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 ⅔ cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Add chicken pieces to a medium bowl, add milk and pickle juice. Mix well, cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or overnight to marinate the chicken.
  2. When ready to air fry, whisk 2 eggs and add the beaten eggs to the bowl with chicken. Mix well.
  3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F.
  4. In a shallow bowl or large Ziplock bag, combine flour, powdered sugar, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Stir to combine.
  5. Using a slotted spoon, add half of the chicken pieces into the flour mixture, toss until fully coated.

  6. Transfer the coated chicken to a separate plate or cutting board. Repeat with the remaining chicken pieces.
  7. Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray and arrange the chicken inside in one layer, cook in batches if needed. Spray the chicken with oil as well.
  8. Air fry for 7-8 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown and crispy on the outside, make sure to flip it halfway. Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Super Easy Caramel Sauce - Only 3 ingredients!

When I first posted this recipe 7 years ago, I had never realized how easy it was to make your own caramel sauce at home! With no candy thermometer needed, only 3 ingredients, and taking about 5 minutes to make, this is the EASIEST Caramel Sauce you will ever make! Add some sea salt over the top for a delicious sea salt caramel sauce!

This caramel sauce is perfect on desserts, in a morning coffee, or just eaten straight from the bowl!

Tips for Easy Caramel Sauce:

  • This sauce does not stay thin once it cools however; it gets very thick. That is fine, you could either eat it in chunks off a spoon, or you can melt it again in boiling water/microwave- take your pick. Heat in 30 second increments, stirring between each segment. 
  • Use a heavy bottom sauce pot to cook the caramel. This will make it cook more even and quicker. 
  • This caramel sauce should last at least 2 weeks in the fridge (though, mine has never lasted that long because it always gets used up quickly), and should be stored in an air tight container, like a mason jar.
  • WATCH the sauce cook! It's quick to burn, so stay close to the pot because it cooks very quickly!
  • By using brown sugar for this sauce, it makes it very sweet, a little sweeter than normal caramel sauce. Adding this caramel to anything makes it even more decadent and delicious.  Trust me! Use this sauce on ice cream, in caramel fudge, or however your heart desires!

Having quick meal ideas on hand during the week is essential to saving money and eating healthy. This recipe only takes a handful of ingredients, and the homemade Asian dressing also uses ingredients already in your pantry and fridge. This quick weeknight Asian Salad will be a staple in your lunch or dinner rotation!

Making this salad couldn't be easier, and while it is vegetarian, adding shredded chicken or salmon would be a great way to increase the protein. You could also serve this alongside these easy Mongolian Chicken!

How to make this Easy Asian Salad:

  • First, make the Asian dressing. This will allow the dressing to meld while you prepare the salad.

  • In a small jar, add all of the dressing ingredients (see full list in recipe card at bottom of page), then shake vigorously for 30 seconds. Place in the fridge.
  • Prepare the Asian salad ingredients: chop the orange pepper, green onions, cilantro, and almonds; set aside.
  • Using a small skillet over medium heat, add the chopped almonds and sesame seeds. Sauté for 2 minutes or until lightly browned and fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside. Heating these ingredients helps bring out the flavors for them in the salad.
  • Add coleslaw mix to a large bowl, then add the rest of the salad ingredients.

  • When ready to serve the salad, pour the homemade asian salad dressing over the top of the Asian Salad, then toss well to coat.

  • Serve the salad immediately! Store extra salad in an airtight container or bag for up to 3 days in the fridge.

How to add more protein to the salad:

  • Add cold shredded chicken or turkey to this salad. This is a great way to boost the protein and also round out the meal.
  • Air fry some salmon filets with soy sauce and then add to over the top of the salad. I love this flavor and it adds a lot of protein to the salad.
  • Bake tofu and add cubed tofu to the Asian salad.
  • Air Fryer Salmon Bites have an Asian glaze that would be perfect on this salad!
  • I love adding edamame to this salad! It not only adds protein, but more delicious texture.
  • Add this Air Fryer Sesame Chicken for a yummy addition!
  • Add a few tablespoons of peanut butter to the dressing. This will add protein and make the dressing a more creamy consistency.

for salad:
  • 16 ounces coleslaw mix
  • 1 large bell pepper (red, yellow, or orange) chopped
  • 3 stalks green onion, chopped
  • ¼ cup cilatro chopped

  • 2 TBS sesame seeds
for dressing:
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 TBS sesame oil
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 1 TBS honey or agave

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • dash salt
Instructions
For the dressing:
  1. Add all of the dressing ingredients into a sealable jar. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds, then place in fridge.

For the Salad:
  1. In a small skillet over medium heat, add nuts and sesame seeds. Sauté for 2 minutes or until lightly toasted and fragrant. Set aside.

  2. In a large bowl, add coleslaw mix, pepper, green onions, cilantro, and the toasted almonds and sesame seeds. Drizzle the reserved dressing over the top of the salad, then gently toss to coat the salad.

  3. Serve immediately garnished with additional sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

The blue Hawaiian was first made in Hawaii in the 1950's and it quickly became a favorite cocktail! This tropical summer cocktail is perfect to sip next to the pool, at a BBQ, or just to enjoy the delicious pineapple flavor! Whip up some Boozy Pineapple Bites to serve alongside this delicious Blue Hawaiian Drink!

Making this cocktail is fairly easy, but you do need a handful of ingredients. Here's how to make it:

  • Get all the ingredients together. You need:
    • Coconut Rum
    • Blue Curaçao 
    • Pineapple juice 
    • Ice cubes
    • Cherries (Garnish)
    • Pineapple slices (Garnish)
  • Using a cocktail shaker, add the rum and pineapple juice and shake vigorously.
  • Using a fun cocktail glass (I love these tiki glasses), add the blue caraçao, then top with ice cubes.

This Caprese Grilled Cheese is the answer to your lunch slump! It's a super simple sandwich that takes barely any time to make, and is majorly delicious! There's only a handful of ingredients, so it is affordable as well. Caprese Grilled Cheese is going to be your new meal staple!

The caprese mixture is on of my favorite flavors! I have already shared with you some delicious recipes such as Caprese Stuffed Pull Apart Bread, Caprese Stuffed Spaghetti Squash, Caprese Cottage Cheese Toast, and Caprese Sliders!

How to make Caprese Grilled Cheese:

  • Prep the ingredients: slice the tomatoes and let them sit in some balsamic vinegar.

  • Start the sandwich assembly line.
    • Butter one side oh each slice of bread (you need a CRUSTY BREAD for these sandwiches). Turn it over, so the butter is facing down. Top 1 slice with pesto, add 1 slice of cheese, 3 tomatoes, and then another slice of cheese. If you like it really pesto-y, add some more pesto to top slice. Place top bread slice butter side out.
  • Now cook the sandwich: Heat skillet or panini press, and put sandwich on to cook. If using a skillet, flip when golden brown on one side. I cooked on a skillet for about 3 minutes on medium on each side.
    • I cooked 2 sandwiches at a time and was easily able to flip with enough room in the pan. Repeat until the sandwiches are all done!

  • Ingredients
    • 1 cup loose basil leaves
    • 1 TBS olive oil
    • 2 TBS pine nuts, walnuts, or almonds (all work)

  • Add all ingredients in a Food Processor or blender, blend until smooth, scraping sides down if needed. Set aside. Use on Caprese Grilled Cheese as desired.

  • 8 slices crusty bread
  • 4 TBS fresh pesto

  2. Instructions to make 1 sandwich, repeat until you have desired number of sandwiches (recipe is for 4):

  3. Butter one side of the slices of bread lightly. Turn over, so butter is facing down. Top 1 slice of bread with 1 TBS of pesto, add 1 slice of cheese, 3 tomatoes, and then another slice of cheese. If you like it really pesto-y, add some more pesto to top slice. Similar to the classic fish frying cooking process, the fillet will be tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. Not to mention that air fryer fish the easiest recipe to make for dinner tonight! I love serving this with easy Air Fryer French Fries, Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries, or with a lovely Creamy Pesto Caprese Potato Salad!

Want to save time with something a little easier? Try these Air Fryer Frozen Fish Sticks which are done in less than 10 minutes!

There are many other air fryer recipes out there for fresh seafood, but this crispy cod recipe is going to give you the best flavor. I also love making cajun salmon in the air fryer, but that has a different taste. Turn this into a fish and chips recipe by adding some French fries to the Air fryer as well. This is one of the best air fryer fish recipes out there and it is perfect for delicate fillets. Depending on the thickness of your fillets, you can have this dinner on the table in under 30 minutes.

  • Cod fillets: Cut into strips of equal sizes.

  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • All-purpose flour
  • Garlic powder
  • Cajun seasoning

How to cook air fryer fish from scratch?

  • Dry and season: First, pat your fillets dry with a paper towel before using your favorite seafood seasoning on both sides. Spray olive oil onto each fillet, covering it completely for crispy fillets. This will help the breading stick.

  • Separate ingredients: Then, put the panko, flour, and egg each into its own separate bowl.
  • Make the breading: Next, mix garlic powder and Cajun seasoning with the panko well. 
  • Preheat: After, preheat your air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • Coat: Meanwhile, one at a time, press your fillets into the flour first, then the egg, and then into the panko mixture. The best way to do this is to shake each fillet after dipping it into each bowl. Then place into the air fryer.

  • Serve: Lastly, remove and serve with tartar sauce and lemon wedges.

Is frying in an air fryer healthier?

Cooking this fish in the air fryer is much healthier than deep frying because you do not use much oil. It is the hot oil you use when you deep fry that adds so much fat and grease. If this is your first time making crispy air fryer fish, you will notice less oil and less greasiness in your food for a better taste. Air frying is a great way to get that crispy texture without the deep fryer.

What is the best fish for the air fryer?

Any kind of white fish fillet will work but we like to use cod because it is a tender white fish with a delicate flavor. You can also try grouper, bass, tilapia, or haddock. Catfish is also a good choice, but you may want to soak it in milk first to get rid of the fishy taste. 

How to store air fryer fish leftovers:

  • Store: Wrap up your leftover fish in plastic wrap and then put into an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.  
  • Freeze: You can also freeze your fish if you cannot eat it in four days. Wrap in plastic, put it in a freezer bag, and it will stay good in the freezer for up to three months.    
  • Thaw: Thaw frozen fish in the fridge overnight for best results. 
  • Reheat: Reheat in the fryer for one or two minutes. You may have to broil them for a couple of minutes for crispiness.

Ingredients
For Fish:
  • 1 lb. cod cut into 4 strips
  • ½ teaspoon Kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cajun seasoning
  • 1 large egg beaten
  • 2 cups panko bread crumbs
For Serving:
  • Lemon wedges
  • Tartar sauce
  • French fries
Instructions
  1. Wash the fish fillets under cold water and after that pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Season on both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Next, place flour in one shallow bowl, beaten egg to another.
  4. To the third shallow bowl add panko, Cajun seasoning, and garlic powder.
  5. Working one at a time, gently toss the fish in flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the panko mixture, pressing to coat.
  6. Preheat air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  7. Working in batches, arrange the fish in the basket of your air fryer, spray lightly with oil spray, and cook for 6 minutes, then flip (and spraying again with oil spray to other side), and cook for an additional 5-6 minutes. Cook until fish is golden and flakes easily.

  8. Serve with lemon wedges, French fries and tartar sauce.

Recipe tips:

  • Be sure to put your fish in a single layer and cook in small batches. If you overcrowd it, the fish will steam instead of frying. 
  • The fish should be completely covered with olive oil spray so the panko breadcrumbs or flour mixture will stick. 
  • If you use frozen fish, wait until they are completely thawed out and patted dry with a paper towel before breading.

These Boozy Strawberry Pineapple Popsicles are perfect anytime, but are even more fun during holidays or in the summer! They are so easy to whip up and even more delicious!

One of the reasons I like making these popsicles is that they are SO EASY! Seriously! You need only a handful of ingredients, then you pop them into the popsicle bags (you can buy them HERE), and freeze! Voila - done! You can make adult popsicles with pretty much any fruit and alcohol combination!

How to make Boozy Strawberry Pineapple Popsicles:

  • In a large mason jar add the simple syrup and mint then muddle or crush the ingredients together for 30 seconds to release the flavors.  Add strawberries, pineapple, rum, water, and limeade concentrate. Shake vigorously for at least 2 minutes.
  • Using a slotted spoon, remove strawberries, pineapple, and mint and place into a separate bowl on the side. Remove mint and discard.
  • Open a popsicle bag and fill about halfway with fruit mixture, then add liquid mixture up to the fill line. Seal bag carefully. Repeat for all bags/liquid.
  • Freeze for at least 24 hours or until completely frozen. Keep frozen until ready to serve, they will melt quickly if not kept frozen.Be careful not to add TOO MUCH alcohol or they won’t freeze. Trust me, I’ve learned the hard way…

Pineapple Mojitos are full of fresh pineapple, mint, and lime! They are bursting with flavor and make the best summer cocktail!

Now that we are in the midst of summer, I love coming up with new cocktails to enjoy in the warm weather. These Pineapple Mojitos cross all the T's and dot all the I's as the best summer cocktail. They are full of delicious pineapple, mint, and lime flavors, and are seriously refreshing! If you need a signature cocktail for the summer, this is it!

I am a big fan of mojitos! I have tried all flavors and I have shared several on Domestic Superhero. You can find versions or Blueberry Mojitos, Blackberry Mojitos, and Mixed Berry Mojitos all on Domestic Superhero. 

How to make Pineapple Mojitos:

It's easy! With only a handful of steps, these come together in no time!

  • Add the lime juice, some pineapple, mint, and simple syrup to the cup. Mash with a muddler or back of a wooden spoon to combine/release flavors of the ingredients. 
  • Add ice, then top with rum and club soda. Stir gently to combine the flavors! Enjoy!

No Simple Syrup? No problem! It's a SUPER simple recipe!

How to make Simple Syrup:

  • You can make a basic simple syrup using 1:1 ration of water to sugar.
  • Try my popular mint simple syrup, which is PERFECT for mojitos!
  • Boil the water/sugar mixture in a small sauce pot, then let it simmer for about 15 minutes or until thickened. 
  • Use it in mojito and other cocktail recipes! 
  • Store simple syrup in a container and refrigerate. You may notice sugar crystals forming at the bottom of the container after some time, just heat it up and stir it to dissolve. 

What type of Rum is best for a mojito?

White or silver rum is going to be the go-to rum for Mojitos. In a pinch you could use brown or darker rum, but a traditional mojito is made with white rum. If you want to add flavor to this Pineapple Mojito, you could opt for a white flavored rum, such as pineapple rum or coconut rum!

How to make a Virgin Mojito?

It's easy! Follow the instructions below, but just leave the rum out. You could replace the rum with something like Sprite if you want, but you could easily just fill the glass with club soda! I would suggest adding a bit more mint and pineapple to boost the flavor.

Can I make a Mojito with other types of alcohol?

The short answer, yes. While it won't be a traditional 'mojito', the classic cocktail tastes great made with vodka or tequila as well.

Ingredients
  • 8 chunks pineapple
  • ¼ cup mint leaves
  • 4 TBS simple syrup
  • 2 limes, juice reserved
  • 12 ounces club soda
  • 4 ounces white rum (more or less depending on preference)
Instructions
  1. Using 2 glasses, add half the lime juice to each glass. Next add half the mint leaves, half the pineapple, and 2 TBS simple syrup (to each glass). Muddle the ingredients together for about 20 seconds per cup to release the flavors. 

  2. Add ice to glasses and then top with rum (2 ounces each) and club soda. Garnish with a slice of lime, pineapple, and some int leaves. Serve cold.

This One Pot Cheesy Cajun Pasta is done in 20 minutes, super flavorful, and costs less than $5 for the entire meal! An easy weeknight dinner!

This One Pot Cheesy Cajun Pasta is a go-to easy dinner that will be a staple in your dinner rotation. It is vegetarian, but some cooked chicken or cajun shrimp would also be delicious! I love One Pot recipes and this one is awesome, cheap, easy, fast, and best of all – delicious!

How to make One Pot Cajun Pasta:

  • Start by getting all of the ingredients together, and then prep the vegetables.
  • In a large skillet or pot add olive oil and garlic and cook. Then add the peppers, onions, cajun seasoning and black pepper over the vegetables, and cook.
  • Add milk, broth, and linguine. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to simmer and cover the pasta. Stir every few minutes, and allow to cook for 12-14 minutes, or until pasta is tender and not much liquid is left. **If after this time there is no liquid left, add ¼ cup milk, stir to combine**.
  • Remove from heat, add parmesan cheese and stir to incorporate. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

Tips for making One Pot Cajun Pasta:

  • If at the end of the recipe there isn't much sauce, go ahead and add ¼ cup of additional milk and mix it in before adding the cheese.
  • You MUST shred your own cheese. Pre-shredded cheese has anti-clumping agents in the bag which prevents the cheese from melting together. Using pre-shredded cheese will result in a clumpy, non cheesy sauce.
  • Want to spice it up? Add red pepper flakes or a few splashes of tabasco hot sauce!
  • Use a high sided skillet for the least mess and easy cleanup! I love this one!

  • 3 garlic cloves , minced
  • 1 TBS olive oil
  • ½ red pepper , sliced
  • ½ yellow pepper , sliced

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 ounces linguine
  • 1 cup milk (I used 1%) + ¼ cup milk

  • 2 green onions , chopped
Instructions
  1. In a large skillet or pot over medium/high heat, add olive oil and garlic, saute for 30 seconds. Add peppers and onions; stir to combine. Add cajun seasoning and black pepper; saute for 2-3 minutes.

  2. Add milk, vegetable/chicken broth, and linguine. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to simmer; cover. Stir every few minutes, and allow to cook for 12-14 minutes, or until pasta is tender and not much liquid is left. **If after this time there is no liquid left, add ¼ cup milk, stir to combine**.

  3. Remove from heat, add parmesan cheese and stir to incorporate. Garnish with green onions and serve immediately.

Recipe Notes
  • If you would like to add chicken to this dish, simply chop the chicken into bite sized pieces and cook it FIRST in the skillet with the garlic and oil. Sprinkle half of the cajun seasoning over the chicken while cooking, and then add the other half of the seasoning when you add the pasta. Leave the chicken in the pot when you cook the rest - easy!
  • If you would like to use the whole box of pasta in this recipe, just DOUBLE everything - easy!

Delicious fresh basil combined with juicy summer lemons make the most mouthwatering Basil Lemonade! It's perfect plain, or with some added alcohol!

I have been experimenting all summer with fun drinks, and this one is one of the best! I’ve been growing fresh herbs in my garden, so I have been infusing them into drinks and different recipes, and it’s always so delicious.  This Basil Lemonade is so fresh and delicious, it will be your go-to drink! Basil is BY FAR my favorite herb, and it is so tasty in meals as well as drinks!

I've already shared Strawberry Basil Margaritas with you as well as One Pot Basil Chicken!

Fresh basil combined with juicy summer lemons make the most mouthwatering Basil Lemonade! It is perfect plain, or with some added alcohol!

For this basil lemonade you do need to make basil simple syrup, but don't worry because it is EASY!

How to make Basil Simple Syrup:

  • Take 1 cup of granulated sugar and mix it with 1 cup of water in a small sauce-pot.  Add a handful (about ½ cup or more) of clean basil leaves to the pot.  Over medium heat, bring it up to a simmer while you stir to dissolve the sugar, then lower the heat and simmer for at least 15 minutes on low low heat.
  • After the time is up, carefully remove the basil leaves and pour the simple syrup into a container. Set it aside. Find more tips on the FULL RECIPE HERE.

  • In a large pitcher combine the lemon juice, sugar, water, and basil simple syrup. Add a handful of basil leaves to the mixture. Stir and then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

  • 6 lemons juiced (rolling the lemons between your counter and hand will help get a lot of extra juice out)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 6 cups water
  • ¼ cup basil simple syrup (see recipe above)
  • extra basil and lemon wedges for garnish
Instructions
  1. In a large pitcher combine the lemon juice, sugar, water, and basil simple syrup. Add a handful of basil leaves, a handful of ice, and stir until well combined.

  2. Refrigerate at least 2 hours and serve with ice and basil and lemon slices for garnish. Enjoy!

Big Mac Sauce is one of the reasons people buy the big mac, but little did you know, it's so easy to make it! Most of the ingredients are probably already in your fridge and pantry!

This Copycat Big Mac Sauce is delicious on a Big Mac Lettuce wrap, in a Big Mac Salad, or on burgers, fries, or whatever you want! Whip up a batch and keep it in the fridge to use as needed!

I absolutely loved this sauce on these Air Fryer Hamburgers and also Air Fryer Fish and Fish Sticks!

I love trying copycat sauces such as the delicious ZAX SAUCE, In-n-Out Sauce, or Outback Bloomin' Onion Sauce!

Making Big Mac Sauce is so easy and it only contains a few ingredients. If you look at the ingredient list from McDonalds, there will be tons of ingredients (33 to be exact) that you won't recognize like, 'Spice Extractives, Polysorbate 80, Propylene Glycol Alginate, Sodium Benzoate (Preservative), and Vegetable Protein,' just to name a few. What are these things?!??!

I love to know what's actually in the food I'm eating, so figuring out how to make Big Mac Sauce without all the scary ingredients was a must for me, and not too difficult.

I tried various recipes I found online, but nothing seemed quite right. After tweaking things multiple times, I found the best copycat big mac sauce recipe! 

How to make Big Mac Sauce:

  • Add mayonnaise, relish, mustard, apple cider vinegar, and seasonings. Whisk to combine well.
  • Place covered in the fridge for at least an hour to let the flavors meld.
  • Serve as desired, shaking/stirring before using, and store covered in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. Shake or stir before using.

How to use Big Mac Sauce:

Using this Copycat Big Mac Sauce is a non-issue! It's delicious on EVERYTHING!

  • Use this sauce on the delicious low carb Big Mac Lettuce Wraps or on top of the Low Carb Big Mac Salad!
  • If you like dipping french fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings in sauce, this is perfect.
  • Perfect topping on these Air Fryer Hamburgers or Air Fryer Hot Dogs!
  • Using Big Mac Sauce with Air Fryer Asparagus Fries or Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries or Air Fryer French Fries is also a winning combination!
  • Baked Avocado Fries are also a delicious option for this sauce!
  • Serve Big Mac Sauce over a salad as a delicious dressing. If you want the sauce a little thinner, just add a splash of milk or rice vinegar to the dressing.

Making this side dish couldn't be easier than with the air fryer. Tossed lightly with olive oil and seasoned perfectly, these Air Fryer Mushrooms are tender, flavorful, healthy and delicious! Serve the alongside Air Fryer Turkey Breast or a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich for the perfect meal!

I love mushrooms and have already shared how to make Spinach Artichoke Stuffed Mushrooms and Air Fryer Stuffed Mushrooms, which are both so delicious! Making these Roasted Mushrooms is so easy!

How to make mushrooms in the air fryer:

  • Using fresh mushrooms, wipe them with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt from the outsides. Then chop the mushrooms in halves, or fourths if they are very large. The chopped pieces of mushrooms should be roughly the same size.

  • Add the mushrooms to a bowl then add the olive oil and seasonings. Toss gently to coat the mushrooms.
  • Add the mushrooms to the air fryer, close the air fryer, and cook.

  • After the time is up, open the air fryer and shake the basket to move the mushrooms around. Close the basket and cook remaining time.

  • Once the time is up, open the basket, then pour the mushrooms into a serving dish.
  • Top with desired garnish such as parsley, butter, or garlic butter.

These air fryer mushrooms are tasty with just the seasoning they are cooked with, or with additional seasoning. I love using herb butter or garlic butter on top of my mushrooms.

How to make Garlic Butter for mushrooms:

  • Using a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of butter, then melt in the microwave (about 1 minutes, cooking in 30 second increments).
  • Once the butter is melted, add 1 teaspoon minced garlic and mix into butter.
  • Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the mushrooms and serve.

Which type of mushrooms are best for air frying?

Most varieties of mushrooms are fine for air frying, but I recommend using baby bella, white, or cremini mushrooms.

  • Store mushrooms in an air tight container up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
  • Reheat for 2-3 minutes in the air fryer or 1 minute in the microwave.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

The air fryer is an appliance that basically takes cooking to another level...an easier and faster method for everything. These Air Fryer Asian Chicken Wings not only take a fraction of the time of baking, but they get so crispy you'll think they are fried!

Using the air fryer allows these wings to get super crispy without actually frying them, saving tons of fat and calories. My regular Air Fryer Chicken Wings is the most popular chicken wing recipe on the internet! Once you try this method, you will never cook wings another way.

How to make Air Fryer Asian Chicken Wings:

  • First prep the chicken wings.
    • If you have full wings, separate them into drums and flats.
    • Make sure they are defrosted.
    • Pat them dry completely dry (this will help them get crispy).
  • Using a medium sized bowl, add sesame oil, red pepper flakes, garlic, brown sugar, soy sauce, sriracha, and ginger; mix with a whisk for 30 seconds. Place the wings into the bowl*, then toss to completely coat the wings.
    • *Alternatively, use a ziplock bag to place the wings into and then toss with the sauce.
  • Place the wings, covered, into the fridge and let marinade at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).

  • Preheat the Air Fryer at 350 F degrees for 2 minutes.
  • Add the asian chicken wings in a single layer to the air fryer (they should NOT be touching), and cook for 9 minutes at 350 F degrees.

  • After the timer goes off, open and carefully flip over the chicken wings. Using the remaining marinade, brush the wings liberally with the sauce.
  • Close the air fryer and change temp to 400 degrees F, and cook for 7 minutes. When the time is up check the internal temperate of the wings using a digital thermometer- they should be at least 165 degrees F.
  • Remove the chicken wings, and set aside.

  • Using the remaining marinade, make a quick glaze: Using a small sauce pot on the stove top, add the left over marinade and heat on HIGH heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce to a simmer.
  • Using a small cup, add cornstarch and water, then mix. Pour the slurry into the mixture, bring back to a quick boil, then turn back down to a simmer and cook 5 minutes; stirring occasionally. The sauce should thicken up quickly. Remove from heat and brush the sauce over the wings.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds! Serve while hot!

Can I bake the Chicken Wings?

Yes, however it takes much longer to get them crispy. Preheat oven to 400 degrees and place the wings on a single layer on a baking sheet (place on an oven rack on top of the baking sheet to get crispier). Bake for 30 minutes, then flip and cook another 15-30 minutes depending on desired crispiness.

  1. Using a small sauce pot on the stove top, add the left over marinade* and heat on HIGH heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce to a simmer. In a small cup mix cornstarch and water. Pour the mixture into the sauce pot, bring back to a quick boil, then turn back down to a simmer and cook 5 minutes; stirring occasionally. The sauce should thicken up quickly.

  2. Remove from heat and brush the sauce over the wings. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds! Serve while hot!

Using the Air Fryer is amazing for jalapeno poppers because it cooks so quickly and evenly. It takes 10 minutes to make this easy appetizer recipe from start to finish!

  • Make the filling for the jalapeno poppers: Soften cream cheese (microwave 30 seconds), then add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic to the cream cheese. Add finely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese and Monterey cheese to the cream cheese. Mix with a fork until everything is completely combined.

  • Prep the jalapeños: Wash the whole jalapeños, then cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Set them aside. WASH YOUR HANDS!

  • 5 large jalapeños, cut in half and seeds removed
For the filling:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (I used ⅓ less fat)

  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic (or ½ teaspoon garlic powder)
  • ¼ cup finely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese

  • 2 TBS cooked crumbled bacon
  • 2 TBS green onions
Instructions
For the filling:
  1. Soften cream cheese (microwave 30 seconds in microwave safe bowl or leave on counter for 30 minutes). Add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic to the softened cream cheese. Add finely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese and Monterey cheese. Mix with a fork until everything is completely combined. 

For the jalapeno poppers:
  1. Wash the whole jalapeños, then cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Set them aside. WASH YOUR HANDS!

  2. Fill the jalapeños with filling; Spoon the filling into the empty pocket until it’s full. I like to overfill them a little, but that is up to you!

  3. Place them into the air fryer basket and close it. Set the Air Fryer to 370 degrees and 7 minutes. Once the time is up, open the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.

I have to say, my two boys are OBSESSED with mandarin oranges. They can eat several at a time, and they love them in pretty much everything. When I told Austin that I wanted to make a sweet glazed orange bread using mandarin oranges, he was totally dying to help and try it!

How to make Orange Bread:

  • Preheat the oven and spray a load pan with nonstick spray.
  • In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients, and then in a small bowl mix the the Greek yogurt yogurt, 1 cup of sugar, eggs, zest, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the wet ingredients into the dry; stirring to combine.  Then add in coconut oil and mix with a whisk or fork until the batter is smooth and totally combined (takes a bit to incorporate the oil).
  • Pour into the loaf pan and bake. Remove from oven, place the pan on a wire rack and allow to cool.

How to make the orange topping:

  • In a small saucepan over medium/high heat, add ¼ cup sugar and ⅓ cup orange juice. Bring to a boil and let simmer for 1 minute, whisking until the sugar is dissolved. 
  • Remove the bread from the loaf pan, and set on a wire rack positioned over a baking sheet. Pour the orange topping/juice over the top of the bread, soaking it liberally. Allow the bread to cool for 20 minutes.

How to make the glaze:

  • Whisk powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange extract together. Drizzle over the bread, slice, and serve.

Your family will think you slaved over this meal for hours, when in reality this easy chicken dinner only takes about 20 minutes to make. You can make the creamy sauce and pasta while the chicken cooks, and it's done in a snap!

Ever since I started cooking, I have been obsessed with making stuffed chicken. When I was 19 I hosted my first dinner party, and I served a creamy stuffed chicken that had feta and pesto - everyone loved it. I was hooked since then! Coming up with different combos is delicious and easy!

I love cooking with roasted red peppers and it's actually super easy to make them yourself (recipe here), but you can also buy them at the local grocery store or online.

  • Gather the ingredients. Mix the cream cheese, spinach, roasted red peppers (learn how to make roasted red peppers yourself with this recipe), parmesan cheese, and seasonings in a bowl.
  • Slice a pocket into the chicken breasts, taking care not to slice through the bottom or opposite side. I recommend using a small paring knife for this step.

Ingredients
For the chicken:
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • dash of black pepper
  • dash of salt
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 ounces spinach, chopped roughly
  • ⅓ cup roasted red peppers, chopped
  • 2 TBS shredded parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ teaspoon dried basil
For the sauce:
  • 2 TBS butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 stalks green onions, chopped
  • 3 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 cup milk (I used almond milk but you can use any variety)
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese

  1. Mix cream cheese, spinach, roasted red peppers, parmesan cheese, garlic, and basil in a bowl.

Making homemade french fries can seem a bit tedious, but it doesn't to be. Using the air fryer to make them cuts the time in half, and gets the potatoes super crispy. I've already shared how to make Air Fryer Frozen French Fries as well as Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries, but these classic Air Fryer French Fries will be a regular in your cooking rotation.

How to make Air Fryer French Fries:

  • First, prep the potatoes by peeling the skin (or you can leave the skin on), then slice the potatoes into french fries:
    • Slice a potato in half lengthwise with a chef's knife. Lay each half cut-side down. Slice lengthwise into ¼ thick slices. Stack about half of the slices and cut lengthwise into ¼ inch thick fries. Repeat with the rest.
  • Next, fill a bowl with ice and water. Place the sliced potatoes into the ice bath and swish them around a bit. Let the potato slices soak for 30 minutes.
    • This is an important step and will help the fries become crispy when cooking. Leaving too much starch on the potatoes will cause them to be soggy.

  • Remove the potato slices after 30 minutes, and using a clean kitchen towel pat them completely dry.
  • Add the dried slices to a ziplock bag or bowl. Add oil and seasonings, then toss to coat.

  • Lightly spray the bottom of the air fryer with oil spray, then add the french fries in a single layer to the air fryer.

  • Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and 8 minutes. When the time is up, shake around the fries, then close the air fryer and cook 6-8 more minutes at 400 degrees.
    • Check after 6 minutes, and add additional time for desired crispiness. Remove from the air fryer and serve with your favorite sauce such as this Chick-fil-A Sauce or Big Mac Sauce!

How to reheat french fries in the air fryer:

Add the left over fries back to the air fryer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on 400 degrees. Shake and cook another minute if needed.

Are Air Fryer French Fries Healthy? Yes! By using the air fryer instead of deep frying, you can reduce the calories by over 50% and the fat grams by 75%. Another great alternative to deep frying is baking, but it takes longer and is more tedious to bake them.

  1. Prep the potatoes by peeling the skin (or you can leave the skin on), then slice the potatoes into french fries: Slice a potato in half lengthwise with a chef’s knife. Lay each half cut-side down. Slice lengthwise into ¼ thick slices. Stack about half of the slices and cut lengthwise into ¼ inch thick fries. Repeat with the rest.
  2. Fill a bowl with ice and water. Place the sliced potatoes into the ice bath and swish them around a bit. Let the potato slices soak for 30 minutes. Remove the slices, and using a clean kitchen towel pat them completely dry.

  3. Add the dried slices to a ziplock bag or bowl. Add oil and seasonings, then toss to coat. Lightly spray the bottom of the air fryer with oil spray, then add the french fries in a single layer to the air fryer.
  4. Set the air fryer to 400 degrees and 8 minutes. When the time is up, shake around the fries, then close the air fryer and cook 6-8 more minutes at 400 degrees. Check after 6 minutes, and add additional time for desired crispiness.

  5. Remove from the air fryer and serve with your favorite sauce.

Living in New York for 4 years, I became really obsessed with New York bagels, and of course, their cream cheese. I had never seen so many options for cream cheeses, and I tried new ones all the time. I really love plain low fat cream cheese, but when I tried the Jalapeno Cheddar Cream Cheese, I totally fell in love. This Jalapeno Cheddar Cream cheese is simple to make and so delicious! If you like a kick of heat, this recipe is for you!

Recently I had an abundance of jalapeños, so I was pretty much thinking of everything and anything I could make with these bad boys. If you follow me on Facebook, you may have seen that I asked my readers for recipe suggestions. Everything from Jalapeno Popper Dip to Jalapeno Cheese Balls were suggested!

How to make Jalapeno Cheddar Cream Cheese

  • After roasting the jalapeños, dice them up finely. Then add them to a bowl with the softened cream cheese and freshly grated cheddar cheese.
  • Mix until there are no longer any clumps of cream cheese and everything is well combined.
  • Add the mixture to a sealed container, then place it in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, but the longer it sits, the better.
    • The longer it sits, the spicier it gets! The jalapeno spice really gets stronger as it melds.

How to roast jalapeños:

  • Put on a pair of gloves!
  • First, wash and dry the jalapeños. Pre-heat the oven using the BROIL setting.
  • Cut the jalapeños in half, lengthwise, and use a spoon to scoop out the seeds/inside of the jalapeño. Cut off the stem and discard.

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil, then place the jalapeños inside facing down. Drizzle olive oil over the tops of the peppers.
  • Place in the oven, about 3 inches from the flame. Broil for 4-5 minutes, or until the skin is blistered and mostly brown/black. Carefully remove.
  • Using tongs, place the jalapeños on a cutting board, then place a bowl top side down over the jalapeños (so they are completely covered and air cannot escape). Let sit for 15 minutes (this allows the peppers to steam so the skins can easily be removed).
  • After 15 minutes remove the bowl, then carefully push the skins off of the peppers and discard.
  • Dice the skinless jalapeño peppers and proceed with recipe.

Ingredients
  • 4 roasted jalapenos, diced (see directions above for how to roast jalapeños)
  • ¼ cup extra sharp cheddar cheese , shredded
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (I used ⅓ less fat/neufatchel), room temperature
Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, add cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and jalapenos. Using a form or masher, stir until completely combined and no big clumps. You could also use your stand mixer or electric mixer for this.

  2. Place in an air tight container, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Air fryer hot dogs are quick, easy, and majorly delicious. When I made these for my neighbor, she said it was the best hot dog she had ever eaten! These hot dogs are cooked in only FIVE minutes, and then you can toast the bun too! You will never go back to boiling or microwaving hot dogs after you see how easy and delicious this air fryer cooking method is!

How to cook hot dogs in the air fryer:

Cooking the hot dogs could not be easier! 

  • Take whatever your favorite hot dog is, and place them into the Air Fryer basket. I like to score my hot dogs across the top to give a 'grilled effect' and also keep them from exploding!

  • Close the Air Fryer and set to 400 degrees and 5 minutes.
  • Once the time is up, carefully place the hot dogs into the buns, then place back into the air fryer for 1-2 minutes (depending on how toasted you like the buns). Remove and enjoy with your favorite toppings!

As I said, it couldn't be easier to make hot dogs in the air fryer! It's quick, simple, and they turn out majorly delicious! The fact that you can toast the bun right along with them is amazing and gives them the perfect crunch! Serve them up with some Ranch Pickles, Air Fryer Sweet Potato Fries, Air Fryer Tater tots or french fries for the perfect at home meal!

Hot Dog Topping options:

  • For a delicious chili cheese dog, add a spoonful of chili into the bun with the hot dog before toasting the bun. Place a little slice of cheese on top, then close and cook for 2 minutes- Chili Cheese Dogs!
  • Add the classics such as mustard, ketchup, relish, and onions for an original American Hot Dog!
