This spin on traditional "Christmas Crack" is a fun Halloween treat! Halloween Saltine Cracker Candy is the perfect easy dessert or snack!

This holiday staple comes together in under 10 minutes and then after it hardens it's ready to eat! Once you start eating it you will NOT be able to stop, it's THAT good!
I've had the famous 'Christmas crack' recipe go viral several times on Instagram and TikTok, so I wanted to create a version for Halloween as well!
Most of the ingredients are probably already in your pantry, but this is what you need...

Ingredients for Halloween Saltine Cracker Candy:

- Saltine crackers (club crackers, ritz crackers, pretzels, and graham crackers will all work but have a different flavor)
- unsalted butter (you don't want double salted crackers and salted butter)
- brown sugar
- almond bark (white/almond or chocolate will both work)
- Toppings: I used candy corn and some fun Halloween sprinkles I found on Amazon.

- Get all of the ingredients together for the candy because it's a fast moving recipe. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- On a large baking sheet, lay out foil or parchment and then cover the top in a single layer of saltine crackers.

- In a sauce pan, melt the butter over medium heat and then add the brown sugar. Bring to a quick boil and then whisk continuously boiling for about 3 minutes, until it develops a deeper brown color.
- The temperature will reach 270 degrees F to 290 degrees F. Make sure to bring the temperature at least this high or it will not harden over the crackers.

- Pour the mixture over the saltine crackers and spread evenly. Place the baking sheet into the pre-heated oven and bake for 5 minutes.
- While this is baking, melt the almond bark (see note below) - add to a microwave safe bowl and cook in 30 second increments, stirring every 30 seconds to prevent burning; until melted (about 2 minutes).
- Remove from the oven and then pour the melted chocolate over the top and spread evenly with a spatula.

- Add halloween toppings and then place into the fridge for at least 2 hours or overnight to harden.
- Break or 'crack' apart the saltine cracker toffee into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!

Tip for making the candy:
Definitely use ALMOND BARK for the chocolate. I tried this recipe specifically with white chocolate chips and it failed miserably. The chocolate clumped and was not spreadable.
How to store Halloween Saltine Cracker Candy::
Store the saltine cracker candy in a sealed bag or container.
- Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks
- Store room temperature for up to 7 days (crackers will start to get stale or soggy).
- Store in the freezer for up to 4 months.

This halloween treat makes a great gift and EVERYONE loves receiving it! Add the candy to a food safe cellophane bag and seal with a nice ribbon and tag!
