- Using fresh mushrooms, wipe them with a damp paper towel to remove any dirt from the outsides. Then chop the mushrooms in halves, or fourths if they are very large. The chopped pieces of mushrooms should be roughly the same size.
- Add the mushrooms to a bowl then add the olive oil and seasonings. Toss gently to coat the mushrooms.
- Add the mushrooms to the air fryer, close the air fryer, and cook.
- After the time is up, open the air fryer and shake the basket to move the mushrooms around. Close the basket and cook remaining time.
- Once the time is up, open the basket, then pour the mushrooms into a serving dish.
- Top with desired garnish such as parsley, butter, or garlic butter.
These air fryer mushrooms are tasty with just the seasoning they are cooked with, or with additional seasoning. I love using herb butter or garlic butter on top of my mushrooms.
How to make Garlic Butter for mushrooms:
- Using a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of butter, then melt in the microwave (about 1 minutes, cooking in 30 second increments).
- Once the butter is melted, add 1 teaspoon minced garlic and mix into butter.
- Drizzle the garlic butter mixture over the mushrooms and serve.
