These Crispy Artichokes are so easy to make in the air fryer and incredibly delicious! These will be your new go-to appetizer!
Artichoke hearts are incredibly popular to cook with and they are also super popular in appetizers. Most likely you have eaten them in spinach artichoke dip, as full steamed artichokes, or perhaps spinach artichoke egg rolls. This recipe makes the artichoke hearts super crispy, crunchy, and majorly delicious! Air Fryer Crispy Artichokes will be your favorite new healthy appetizer!
Using the air fryer allows them to be cooked in a fraction of the time, and these will be done in less than 15 minutes from start to finish! It can't get any easier! Maybe you have tried my popular Air Fryer Asparagus fries or Air Fryer Buffalo Wings, and you are going to love these Air Fryer Crispy Artichokes!

What type of Artichokes should I buy for this recipe?
- Canned artichoke hearts in water.
- I like the quartered artichoke hearts for this recipe, but you could also use the halved artichokes. If they are whole artichokes, cut them in half at least.
- Marinated artichoke hearts- I do NOT recommend these for this recipe. We need the artichokes DRY to hold the coating, and since these are soaked in oil it will be hard to get the breading mixture to stick to the artichoke.
- If you only have access to marinated artichokes, rinse them very well to remove as much oil as possible and then pat them dry.

**scroll down for full ingredients list and printable directions**
- Start by getting all the ingredients together to make an assembly line.
- Drain the canned artichoke hearts and pat dry with paper towels, pressing carefully to remove as much water as possible. Set the artichoke hearts aside.
- In a shallow bowl add flour, set aside.
- In a second bowl, add 1 egg plus 1 TBS water and whisk completely, set aside.
- In the 3rd bowl add garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, parmesan cheese, bread crumbs, panko bread crumbs, and salt. Whisk to combine completely, set aside.
- Lightly spray the inside of the Air fryer basket with oil spray (use a MISTO OIL SPRAYER or something alike). Set the basket aside.
- Taking a few artichoke hearts at a time, add them to the flour and toss to coat, then place into the egg and toss to coat. Then add the egg coated artichokes to the bread crumb mixture and toss to coat. Press the artichokes into the bread crumb mixture a bit to make sure the coating sticks.
- Place the artichokes into the Air fryer basket as you coat them. Repeat until all the artichoke hearts are coated and placed into the air fryer. Lightly spray the tops of them with oil spray.
- Close the Air fryer. Set at 375 degrees for 6 minutes. Open the air fryer, flip the artichokes carefully, spray the tops with oil spray, then close and cook 2-3 more minutes.
- Remove the artichokes and then serve alongside your favorite dipping sauce!
What sauce should I serve with Air Fryer Crispy Artichokes?

- Copycat In-N-Out Sauce (easy recipe)
- Buffalo Sauce (homemade recipe)
- Chick-fil-A Sauce (copycat recipe)
