Christmas Crack is a traditional holiday recipe, but this one has a fun twist! Topped with mint chocolate and candy canes, this Mint Chocolate Christmas Crack is a tasty variation!

This holiday staple comes together in under 10 minutes, and then after it hardens it's ready to eat! Once you start eating it you will NOT be able to stop, it's THAT good! The minty crunchy combo of this Mint Chocolate Christmas Crack is amazing!
I've had the traditional Christmas crack recipe go viral several times on Instagram and TikTok, which is a great option as well! I've also shared this White Chocolate Cranberry variation, and it's super tasty, too!

Most of the ingredients are probably already in your pantry, but this is what you need...
Ingredients for Mint Chocolate Christmas Crack:
**scroll down for full ingredients list and printable directions**
- Saltine crackers (club crackers, ritz crackers, pretzels, and graham crackers will all work but have a different flavor)
- unsalted butter (you don't want double salted crackers and salted butter)
- brown sugar
- white melting chocolate (almond bark or baking chips work better than white chocolate chips)
- Toppings: Andes Mint Chocolate pieces, candy canes
How to make it:
- Get all of the ingredients together for the Christmas crack because it's a fast moving recipe. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.
- On a large baking sheet, lay out foil or parchment and then cover the top in a single layer of saltine crackers.

- In a sauce pan, melt the butter over medium heat and then add the brown sugar. Bring to a quick boil and then whisk continuously boiling for about 3 minutes, until it develops a deeper brown color.
- The temperature will reach 270 degrees F to 290 degrees F. Make sure to bring the temperature at least this high or it will not harden over the crackers

- Pour the mixture over the saltine crackers and spread evenly. Place the baking sheet into the pre-heated oven and bake for 5 minutes. Turn off the oven.
- Remove crackers from the oven and add the chocolate chips over the top of the saltine crackers. Place back in the oven for a minute to soften them and remove. Use a spatula to spread the chocolate evenly over the top.

- Add the chopped Andes chocolate pieces and chopped candy canes over the top. Place in the fridge or freezer for at least a few hours; ideally overnight.

- Break or 'crack' apart the Mint Chocolate Christmas crack into bite-sized pieces and enjoy!

How to store Mint Chocolate Christmas Crack:
Store the saltine cracker toffee in a sealed bag or container.
- Store in refrigerator up to 2 weeks
- Store room temperature for up to 7 days (crackers will start to get stale or soggy).
- Store in the freezer for up to 4 months.

This Christmas Crack makes a great gift and EVERYONE loves receiving it! Add the candy to a food safe cellophane bag and seal with a nice ribbon and tag!

Wow, THANK YOU for catching my major typo! I made 5 variations of the Christmas Crack and definitely had my brain cracking when I typed this out! Yes, you need to use white melting chocolate (almond bark or baking chips work better than white chocolate chips). I adjusted the post to reflect the proper ingredients. Happy holidays!

Love this twist on one of my favorite snacks! I wasn't sure how I would feel about the mint with the toffee, but the white chocolate really ties the whole thing together. It's fantastic!
