Apple Raisin Cinnamon Rolls are filled with tart apples and sweet raisins, combining the delicious flavors in the perfect breakfast treat.

Now, I am not the world's best baker, as most of you probably know, so I like to use a few shortcuts when making my 'own' cinnamon rolls. I find that using frozen bread dough is the best substitute to homemade dough. Now, if you have the time, go ahead and make your homemade dough for the Apple Raisin Cinnamon Rolls, but I find it super convenient to take the frozen bread dough out of the freezer, put it in the fridge, and then let it defrost over night. Easy!
One the dough is defrosted, you are going to let it get to room temperature. While you are waiting for the dough to come to room temperature, go ahead and make your apple mixture. It's only a handful of ingredients and takes about 5 minutes to make on the stove top. The Apple Raisin filling is the perfect complement to the rolls and cream cheese frosting. Once your dough is room temperature, roll it out in a long rectangle and spread your filling all over the top. I always just use my hands to spread the mixture out (careful if it's hot), and then luckily I keep Lava Soap on hand so I can quickly wash it off.
I love how the pumice in the soap helps scrub off the sugar and butter mixture. I love Lava Soap because it really gets EVERYTHING off your hands. You don’t have to worry about any greasy oil being left anywhere on your skin. I like to order my soap off Amazon, but they sell it in stores, like Walmart, as well! You can even use Lava Soap outside of the kitchen; it’s great for getting grime, grease, paint, ink, glue and much more off your hands. We keep them all around our house, but especially in the kitchen and in our mud room where I wash my hands after doing dirty work around the house and garage. I love it! After your hands are clean, roll it up starting from the LONG side and pulling tightly to keep it nice and snug.
Next, slice the Apple Raisin Cinnamon Rolls into about 1.5-2 inch rounds and place into a greased baking pan (cake shape works best, but you can use whatever). Toss them in the oven and then voila! Whip up your frosting too, because cinnamon rolls MUST have cream cheese frosting!
These Apple Raisin Cinnamon Rolls are really the perfect morning treat!

Apple Raisin Cinnamon Rolls are filled with tart apples and sweet raisins, combining the delicious flavors in the perfect breakfast treat.
- 1 lb frozen bread dough, defrosted
- flour
- ¼ cup butter
- 2 red apples, such as fuji or honeycrisp, peeled, cored, and chopped
- ½ cup raisins
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 TBS flour
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ¼ ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- ¼ cup butter, softened
- ½ cups powdered sugar
- 1 ½ tsp apple juice or milk
- ¼ teaspoon vanilla
-
In a medium skillet, add butter and let melt over medium heat. Add the chopped apples and raisins; stir for 1 minute. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt; stir until sugar is combined and starting to melt. Simmer while stirring occasionally for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool.
-
Sprinkle flour on board or counter. Roll dough out into a large rectangle, about 18 inches by 12-14 inches. Spread apple mixture over the dough evenly. Starting from the long side, roll the dough evenly and tightly.
-
Using a serrated knife, cut the dough into 1.5-2 inch slices, then set in a greased cake pan (or any baking dish is fine). Cover pan with a damp towel and set in a warm area for about an hour to let the dough rise.
-
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Place rolls in oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Make your frosting while the rolls bake.
-
Place all frosting ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Beat on high speed until completely combined. Spread cream cheese frosting over the top of the rolls and serve warm. Enjoy!

With school back in full swing and activities ramping up, I love having delicious recipes that are just one dish meals! Keeping my kitchen clean (for the most part) while still cooking up a delicious dinner is not only awesome, but it makes my life so much simpler. The last thing I want to do after a long day is cook dinner and then clean up a million pots and pans. The beauty of one dish meals is just that, it's ONE dish/pot/skillet/baking sheet...JUST ONE! So you don't have 2 dishwasher loads to do and you can spend more time doing what's important...like watching the season finale of Game of Thrones...just saying. One dish meals are versatile...from soups and pastas, there is a little something for everyone! What is your favorite one dish meal?

As most of y'all know, I am a mom of two boys and they are PICKY eaters! I am constantly looking for fun takes on typical foods, because they get tired of eating the same thing all the time...even though they refuse to try new things! This is where Peanut Butter & Jelly Sliders come in! It's not the traditional sandwich with the crust cutoff, but a special mini roll topped with Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter and juicy Smucker’s® Strawberry Jam!

It's so easy to make these Berry Boozy Popsicles because it's only a handful of ingredients. The hardest part about them? Waiting 24 hours until they are REALLY frozen! You have to make sure you make them at least 24 hours before when you need them, otherwise they will not be frozen all the way through. Since they contain alcohol, they need that extra time to freeze. Leaving them in the freezer for 24 hours (at least) is a MUST! Don't skimp on the time - trust me!
