As most of y’all know, I am a mom of two boys and they are PICKY eaters! I am constantly looking for fun takes on typical foods, because they get tired of eating the same thing all the time…even though they refuse to try new things! This is where Peanut Butter & Jelly Sliders come in! It’s not the traditional sandwich with the crust cutoff, but a special mini roll topped with Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter and juicy Smucker’s® Strawberry Jam!
This ‘recipe’ is so easy because all you need is THREE things! I usually grab my Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter and Smucker’s® Strawberry Jam from Walmart. Typically they have great prices and it’s easy to find! I also grab a few packages of slider buns or mini rolls as some brands call them. I like to buy a few packs because my kids go through these pretty quickly, and you can also freeze them which help me avoid extra trips to the store if we run out!
The strawberry jam and creamy peanut butter are by far my children’s favorite combination for their sandwiches. They don’t like lunch meat so it doesn’t really leave me many options of things to ‘make’ for them! I also like throwing these Peanut Butter & Jelly Sliders together and freezing them! Then I can just grab them out of the freezer and pop them into a lunch box!
Mmmm creamy peanut butter from Jif® is really the best! The consistency is perfect and the price is right! Our family makes so many sandwiches that I try not to break the bank. I love that Jif® and Smucker’s® power’s their day so my kids have energy throughout the day to participate in all the fun activities during the summer!
Like I mentioned earlier, these PB&J Sliders come together in seconds. Take your mini roll, slather on some Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter.
Next, scoop up your Smucker’s® Strawberry Jam and put it onto the other side of the mini roll.
That’s it! Just repeat for however many sliders you want to make! I usually do two sliders per child and they gobble them up! Sometimes they ask for another one, so I just judge how many to make depending on whatever else I put into their lunch boxes or serve with lunch. My kids also love when I cut a banana in half and then slather it with PJ&J and sprinkle chocolate chips on the top! It’s one of their favorite snacks or desserts, and Jif® and Smucker’s® make the perfect combo in these fun ‘treats’!
