Making meatballs in the air fryer is a simple and easy way to prepare them for dinner! A combination of beef and pork, these meatballs are bursting with flavor and are super juicy without being greasy! Making homemade meatballs in the air fryer is easy, here's how..
Ingredients to make meatballs:

- Ground beef - I like to use a leaner ground beef.
- Pork ground sausage - Use a mild or medium Italian style ground sausage for the best flavor.
- Egg
- Breadcrumbs - plain or panko breadcrumbs will both work for this recipe.
- Seasonings: onion powder, garlic powder, salt, dried basil, dried oregano, dried thyme, ground black pepper,
- Grated parmesan cheese - the type that is powder, not long grated cheese.
- Fresh parsley
How to make meatballs in the air fryer:

- In a large bowl add the breadcrumbs, egg, seasonings, parsley, and grated parmesan cheese. Toss to combine.
- Add the beef and pork into the bowl, then use your hands to combine everything thoroughly.
- Next, taking about 2-3 TBS of meat mixture (this is a hearty sized meatball), roll it into a round ball, pressing it firmly together. Repeat for all of the meat, until you have 18-20 meatballs.
- Please the meatballs into the air fryer basket, making sure they are NOT touching (the air needs to circulate around them).
- Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook 2 batches.
- Cook in the air fryer on 370 degrees for 9 minutes. Open the air fryer and shake the meatballs around, then close and cook for 3-4 additional minutes. The internal temperature of the meatballs should reach 160 degrees F.
- Serve the meatballs immediately alongside your favorite meal.

Refrigerated meatballs are easy to heat back up using the air fryer. Place the meatballs into the basket, and cook at 380 degrees for 5 minutes. The meatballs should be warmed through, but if not, add 1-2 more minutes.
Can you freeze air fryer meatballs?
Yes. Allow the meatballs to cool completely, then place into a freezer safe bag or container, and freeze for up to 6 months.
How to cook frozen meatballs using the air fryer:
Place the frozen meatballs into the air fryer and cook at 380 degrees for 10 minutes. Open the air fryer and shake the meatballs. Close and cook for 8-10 more minutes, or until completely cooked through. *Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the meatballs.
