The air fryer is a game changer because everything cooks more quickly and it gives a nice crispiness to the food. Italian Sausages in the air fryer get nice and taught on the outside, yet stay moist and flavorful on the inside.
It's easy to make this a full meal by adding onions and peppers to the air fryer to cook at the same time!
Serve these sausages with your favorite buns and all the fixings; I like seasoned onions and peppers, but the options are endless.

All you need is the actual Italian sausages for this recipe. You might also want to get things to serve with them such as:
- rolls or hot dog buns
- onions and peppers to cook with the sausage
- marinara sauce

How to make Italian Sausage in the air fryer:

- It's so easy! Add them to the air fryer basket, then close and cook. I like to flip them over halfway so that they cook evenly.
- If you want to serve them with onions and peppers, thinly slice the onions and peppers and give a light spray of oil. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper and then place into the air fryer with the sausages.

- Check the internal temperature of the brats using a meat thermometer and make sure it is at least 160 degrees fahrenheit. Remove the Italian sausages carefully and serve immediately.

The air fryer Italian Sausages can be served by themselves, or you can load them up with toppings!
I like to make a pot of spaghetti and homemade marinara sauce, then slice up the sausage and throw into the pot!

- 6 Italian Sausages
- 2 medium onions, sliced thinly
- 2 medium red peppers sliced thinly
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ tsp dried basil
- 1 TBS olive oil

Add sausages to the air fryer basket and make sure they are not touching (should be room around each one so air can flow through). Close the air fryer basket and set at 370 degrees for 14 minutes. Halfway through, carefully flip them over. Close and continue cooking for remaining time or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.

In a small bowl add the sliced onions and sliced peppers, salt, pepper, dried basil, and olive oil; toss to coat well. Add the the air fryer basket and then add the Italian Sausages.

Close the air fryer basket and set at 370 degrees for 14 minutes. Halfway through, open the basket and shake vigorously, and carefully flip the sausages over. Close and continue cooking for remaining time or until the internal temperature reaches 160 degrees.
