Dill Pickle Pasta Salad is next level! Packed with cheese, bacon, dill pickles and more, then drenched in a creamy ranch dressing; it's the perfect pasta salad!

This pasta salad is super quick and easy to make, and has only a handful of ingredients...

Ingredients:

  • Pasta - any type of short pasta works well for pasta salad. I used elbow macaroni.
  • Dill Pickles - Use your favorite brand, I like claussen because of the strong garlic dill flavor!
  • Cheese - extra sharp cheddar or Colby Jack cheese is best in this pasta salad
  • Onions - yellow onion and green onion are both used in this recipe - if you don't like onions, they can be left out
  • Fresh Dill - don't skimp on this - the flavor is amazing and makes the recipe POP!
  • Bacon - also optional, but this crispy bacon gives this a nice crunch
  • Seasonings: salt, pepper, garlic powder
  • Homemade ranch dressing - I recommend using the Hidden Valley seasoning pouches to make your ranch dressing, but your favorite bottled dressing could work as well.

Tips for making the Dill Pickle Pasta Salad:

  • While the pasta is cooking, prepare the other ingredients so they are ready to combine into the salad.
  • Make your own ranch dressing! I love the Hidden Valley Seasoning Packs to make homemade ranch. Follow the directions on the back of the package to prepare.
  • Refrigerate the pasta salad for at least 60 minutes, but it can be refrigerated overnight for a better flavor.

When to serve this pasta salad:

  • A potluck, party, or event is the perfect time to serve this easy dish. Serve it in a large bowl with a serving spoon.
  • I love making this pickle pasta salad to go along with either Air Fryer Brats or Air Fryer Hamburgers!
  • A summer BBQ is a great time to have pasta salad. Not only is this dish a delicious side, but it can also be a main dish for any vegetarians.
  • Dinner! This dish is packed with veggies and flavor. Serve it with some Air Fryer Chicken Tenders or shred them and add them to the pasta salad!

If you left out the pickles and ranch, could this be made ahead of time and frozen?
