This is a list of 8 dips that all look really yummy, and would be perfect to serve a New Year’s Eve party…or any party really. I know when I am hosting a party, it is not complete without at least 2 dips. Any of these would be great to serve alongside a meal, or other appetizers. Some hot, some cold, something for everyone!
First up is this Baked Brie with Cranberry Sauce and Walnuts from Simple Bites. It only takes 20 minutes to make from start to finish, and is also vegetarian friendly. This looks so delicious, and is totally festive. Serve with crackers or a french baguette, YUM!
Now, this one isn’t quite a dip, but it may as well be. It’s a stuffed cheesy bread with spices and cheese that looks to die for. I love me some cheesy bread.
Mixing things up with this sizzling Hot and Cheesy Corn Dip, this looks to please any corn and cheese lover. How Sweet It Is uses fresh corn for this one, but I don’t see why you couldn’t use frozen bagged corn…and, if you are a vegetarian, like me, you could totally skip out on the bacon. But, bacon lovers will probably love this dip as well!
Next is a Hot Onion and Cheese Soufflé Dip. Loaded with cheese, onions, and spices, this looks absolutely amazing. The recipe does call for cream cheese and mayo, so if it were me I would substitute neufatchel cheese and Greek yogurt in place of those to save some cals….but, for New Year’s Eve, it might be worth it to splurge
Just looking at this Artichoke Dip with Fontina Cheese is making me drool. I love, love, love warm artichoke dip, and with a delicious fontina cheese mixed in, this looks amazing. Martha Stewart definitely got this one right!
On the flip side, we have a Guilt Free Low Fat Spinach Dip which is served cold. I made this with Greek yogurt in place of the mayo to cut out lots of fat and calories. In my opinion, the flavor wasn’t changed very much, maybe slightly, but it tasted delicious regardless.
And on another related note, here is a Baked Fontina Dip from Smells Like Home. Loaded with fontina cheese, rosemary, thyme, and garlic, it looks so good….so good that I am considering running to the store and breaking out my cast iron skillet and taking a break from this post. Drool!
Lastly, we have The Freshest 9 Layer Dip from Lauren’s Latest. This looks so good because all the ingredients are fresh and flavorful. It’s also low in fat and healthy! Everyone loves a good Mexican inspired dip!
That’s all folks! I hope everyone has a very happy 2013!
