Sloppy Joe Sliders come together in 10 minutes and then are baked to perfection! They make the perfect party food or easy weeknight dinner!
Sloppy Joe Sliders are really the perfect weeknight dinner or party food! The homemade sloppy joe mixture comes together in just 10 minutes, and then you bake them for a bit to crisp up the rolls and melt the cheese. They are too good to pass up! Since these are so 'sloppy', Palmolive is sponsoring this post, however all opinions are my own.
Giveaway: Two readers have a chance to win “Messipes” kits featuring Palmolive ® Ultra Strength product and “Messipes” signed by Freddie Prinze Jr. (scroll down for details!)
One reason I love these Sloppy Joe Sliders is because they are SO quick to make, and everyone loves sloppy joes, right?! Packing them into little slider versions is just so cute and easy, and you can eat a couple without feel guilty! When I heard about Palmolive's 'Messipes' (messy recipes), I knew these Sloppy Joe Sliders would be the perfect fit. They are messy to make, and they are messy when you are eating them! The perfect solution is to clean up with Palmolive® Ultra Strength™. It cuts through the grease and makes everything sparkle - I just love it!

Sloppy Joe Sliders come together in 10 minutes and then are baked to perfection! They make the perfect party food or easy weeknight dinner!
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion ,chopped
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1 TBS Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup ketchup
- 2 TBS brown sugar
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- ⅛ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cheddar cheese ,shredded
- 12 slider buns ,cut in half
- 2 TBS butter ,melted
- 2 TBS parmesan cheese ,grated
-
Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
-
In a skillet over medium high heat, add vegetable oil and onion. Saute for 1 minute and push to side. Add ground beef and cook for 7-8 minutes or until cooked though, breaking apart while cooking.
-
Add Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, brown sugar, salt, and pepper to skillet and mix well to combine with ground beef. Bring to a quick boil, then reduce heat and simmer, covered, for about 5 minutes; stirring occasionally.
-
Using a large baking dish sprayed with nonstick spray, lay the bottom halves of the slider rolls across the bottom. Spread ground beef mixture over the top, then sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Place the rolls tops on top of the cheese to close. Brush melted butter over the tops of the rolls, then sprinkle parmesan cheese over the top.
-
Cover loosely with foil, then place into oven. Cook for 15 minutes, then remove foil carefully (steam will come out so be careful). Place back into oven for 5 more minutes.
-
Remove and allow 5 minutes to cool. Cut and serve immediately.

My favorite "Messipe" is my homemade chicken parm! It can get super messy sometimes, haha 😉

My favorite is homemade pizza. While it may not sound particularly messy, we let our decorate their own pies, and that can get messy. It seems like every time I think to myself, "this is the last time we do this"!!!

My favorite is empanadas! Eating them isn't super messy but making them sure is!

This looks awesome - adding sliders to my meal plan! My favorite messipe is for pulled chicken tacos - the chicken is so juicy it gets on everything and the tacos fall apart, but SO GOOD.

My favorite messipe is probably nacho fries! I mean all the melted cheese, beans, meat, lettuce, tomato, olives, avocado, sour cream. It can get pretty messy but oh so amazing!

I made this slider recipe for the first time tonight. It's actually my first ever slider - they aren't hugely popular here in Australia. I swapped the cheddar cheese for herb & garlic cream cheese. Seriously YUMMM!! This will be a recipe we will have on repeat because it's so tasty and so easy!! Thanks for sharing!

Sounds like they turned out great - so happy!

These look so yummy! Do you know if you can make these ahead of time and pop in the oven at dinner?
Allyson
I would be nervous that the bread would get soggy from the sauce. I would suggest making the filling ahead of time, then storing in the fridge. Assemble the sliders right before you cook them. Should be fine!
April
Oh that’s a great idea! Thanks!
