Easy Air Fryer  Chicken Parmesan

Air Fryer Chicken Parmesan is delicious and healthier than the traditionally fried version. This meal is done in less than 15 minutes, and the chicken is moist and full of flavor!

INGREDIENTS:

– chicken breasts – egg – Italian bread crumbs – panko breadcrumbs – Parmesan cheese – oregano – garlic powder – basil – black pepper – salt – oil spray – marinara sauce – mozzarella cheese – parsley

STEP ONE & TWO Pound the chicken breasts into an even layer; about ½ to ¾ inch Add egg to shallow bowl and whisk; set aside. In a separate bowl/dish add breadcrumbs, seasoning, and parmesan cheese; stir to combine.

STEP THREE Dip the chicken into the egg mixture and coat completely. Add chicken to the breadcrumb mixture and press into the crumbs to stick them to chicken well.  Flip and coat the other side until it is completely coated. Repeat for the second chicken breast.

STEP FOUR:  Place the chicken into the air fryer and lightly spray the top with oil spray.  Cook for 5 minutes, then flip the chicken over. Add marinara sauce to the top of the chicken and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.  Cook 5 more minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.

Remove the chicken from the air fryer and sprinkle with parsley if desired. Serve!
