TOP SECRET RECIPE:  Starbucks Cranberry Bliss Bars

INGREDIENTS:

– butter – brown sugar – orange zest – ground ginger – eggs – orange juice – vanilla extract – baking powder – salt – all purpose flour – white chocolate chips – dried cranberries – cream cheese – powdered sugar

STEP 1:

– Get all of the ingredients together and measured. Preheat the oven. – For the cake: Using a stand mixer, cream the butter and sugar together. Add the vanilla and eggs and beat to combine.

STEPS 2 AND 3

– Add the dry ingredients to another bowl and whisk to combine. Add this mixture to the butter mixer and mix on low until just combined. – Add orange juice, chopped cranberries, orange zest and white chocolate chips to the bowl and mix. The dough will be thick, but sticky and soft.

STEP 4 

– Line a baking tray (about 9x13) with parchment paper and lay out the dough in a thin layer (about ½ inch). Flatten with a spatula and place the baking sheet in the oven. Bake. Remove cranberry bliss bars from oven and let cook at least 15 minutes.

– For the frosting: Beat cream cheese with orange zest, lemon juice, vanilla and powdered sugar until combined. Spread over the cake and then sprinkle with the chopped cranberries.

– Melt the chocolate chiips and then drizzle the melted chocolate over the top of the cake. Allow to set for 15-20 minutes.

– Cut the cranberry bliss bars into 3-4 inch squares, and then each square will be cut again diagonally. Serve.
