This slow cooked turkey breast is seasoned with onion soup mix, cranberry sauce, and orange juice for the perfect flavor! Crock Pot Cranberry Turkey is a holiday favorite recipe!
In a medium bowl, mix together the cranberry sauce, orange juice, and onion soup mix. Pour half of that into the crockpot.
Add the turkey breast to the crockpot, seasoning the turkey if desired. Pour the remaining cranberry mixture over the turkey.
Optional: the last hour of cooking, add ½ cup of fresh cranberries to the crock pot.
Remove the turkey and place onto a serving tray, slice if desired.
To make the gravy:
Add the remaining liquid from the crockpot to a saucepan and bring it to a boil.
Using a small cup, add 1 tablespoon of cornstarch and 2 tablespoons of water; mix together with a fork thoroughly. Pour into the boiling gravy.
Pour the gravy over the top of the sliced turkey. Garnish with fresh thyme or rosemary and orange zest.
For seasoning the turkey in addition to the onion soup mix, I like to use: 1 teaspoon kosher salt, ½ tsp black pepper, ¼ tsp dried ground sage, 2 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped, 2 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped, 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Mix the seasonings together and then rub over the outside of the turkey before pouring the sauce mixture on top to cook.
