•Lemons •Sugar •Basil leaves •Simple Syrup •Water
Step 1: Make simple syrup
•Mix 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of water in a small sauce pot. Add handful of basil leaves, then bring to a boil. •Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Step 2: Make LEMONADE:
•In a large pitcher combine the lemon juice, sugar, water, and basil simple syrup. Add a handful of basil leaves, a handful of ice, and stir. •Refrigerate at least 2 hours and serve with ice, basil & lemon slices for garnish.
