With 17 grams of protein this Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Protein Shake is the perfect post workout shake! Not to mention it tastes like a decadent treat!
Coming up with delicious yet healthy protein shakes is always a daunting task. However, Herbalife Nutrition’s versatile shakes and a few other ingredients, it's easy to make a standout shake. This Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Protein Shake is not like any other protein shake you've ever tried. It's delicious, easy to make, and tastes like a shake you would have for dessert. Today’s post is sponsored by Herbalife Nutrition, however all opinions are my own.
How to make the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Protein Shake:
- Roundup your ingredients including the Herbalife Nutrition Vanilla Protein Drink Mix and Herbalife Formula 1 Vanilla .
- We will use a few spices including nutmeg and cinnamon to give a delicious cookie flavor.
- Within the shake we will mix oats, maple syrup, and water.
- Add everything to your mixing cup, then add water and ice. Shake shake shake, add some raisins to the top, and you are good to go!
When to drink the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Shake:
- As a Zumba instructor, I put together everything for this shake before I go to the gym. I leave the water out, and once my workout is done, I add the water and then drink on the way home. I find this to be a great post workout snack because it offers protein to help repair my muscles, and also has carbohydrates which helps to replenish the carbohydrate stores in my body.
- If you do sports, workout at the gym, or even just like running, this is a great option for you to drink after your workout.
Why a Post-Workout Protein Shake?
- It provides plenty of carbohydrates to help replenish carbohydrate stores in the body.
- The protein in the oatmeal raisin cookie shake helps with muscle recovery.
- Other great things to eat after a workout would be high-fiber/high protein cereal with milk and fruit, yogurt with fruit, or a small (or half) sandwich of lean protein (like turkey) on whole grain bread.
Why I love Herbalife Nutrition protein shakes and teas:
- The taste of Herbalife Nutrition Vanilla Protein Drink Mix and Herbalife Formula 1 Vanilla are great! Even without any additions to the shakes, they taste delicious.
- Herbalife Nutrition has several Formula 1 flavor choices including my favorites, Cookies and Cream, Dutch Chocolate, and Café Latte.
- Herbalife Nutrition’s Herbal Tea Concentrate is a lifesaver in my day to day routine. I love stirring up a cup in the morning, with lunch, and then before I workout. The caffeine helps me feel energized before I teach my Zumba classes in the evening.
- It’s easy to track calories and nutrients when I use Herbalife Nutrition’s products. Using apps, like Myfitnesspal, I can just scan the code on the package and it pops into my daily log.
Have you tried Herbalife Nutrition? What products do you like the best? I am still trying all of their shakes, but I have yet to find one I don't like!
