As most of y’all know, my oldest son is one of the pickiest eaters ever, so finding foods that he enjoys is a bit rough sometimes (to say the least…). He told me he wanted to have some friends over for breakfast last weekend, so we planned out a whole DIY Pancake & Waffle breakFEAST Party Bar. It was SUCH a fun time!
My son and I headed to the store to pick up our supplies for the breakFEAST we planned out. We picked up Hungry Jack Pancake Mix (including the Funfetti flavor which is so fun!) and waffle mix. Then we grabbed a variety of the Hungry Jack Syrups; I love their syrups because you can actually heat them up in the container, then voila – warm syrup! Hungry Jack always takes your pancakes and syrup to the next level, turning your breakfast into a breakFEAST the whole family will love and enjoy together. We also picked up fresh strawberries, bananas, and blueberries, cherry and apple pie filling, chocolate chips, sprinkles, and whipped cream. We covered our kitchen table in brown paper and then set everything up in little containers that were easy to access..a little too easy, because all the kids kept sneaking chocolate chips!
Caught red handed! Ha! Well, we let the kids make the pancake batter, then decide what they wanted to stuff into their pancakes!
We whipped out our handy Oster Griddle which has a ceramic cooktop so nothing sticks to it – it’s awesome! You will have to hop over to our Facebook Page where we will be GIVING AWAY both a griddle, waffle maker, and lots of delicious Hungry Jack items!
The kids stuffed their pancakes with blueberries, chocolate chips, and bananas, then were quick to spray some whipped cream on the top! They also celebrated breakfast with a fun ‘cheers’ of their OJ!
It was also really fun for the kids to color these neat pancake party coloring sheets! Then after they colored them, some kids used them as a placemat! They were great – you can grab the printable here.
Finally the adults got their turn, and they all wanted waffles! The Hungry Jack Waffle Mix is awesome because it’s a complete mix, you just add water! So easy! I used this awesome Oster Stainless Steel Flip Waffle Maker and it made making the waffles a total breeze.
I loaded mine up with Cherry pie filling and whipped cream – so yum!
The other parents really went crazy over the variety of Hungry Jack Syrups! With an easy pour cap, Hungry Jack syrup ensures your pancake breakFEAST will be mess-free.
