It’s actually pretty embarrassing to admit that before I moved to ‘the south’ aka Georgia, I had never tried sweet tea. I thought I had consumed sweet tea before, but really, I just consumed iced tea with sugar, which is by no means sweet tea. When we moved to Georgia it was summertime and I was living the dream; laying out by the pool, sipping on real sweet tea, and being pretty carefree (this is pre-kids, of course).  However, when that summer was over, I noticed I gained about 5lbs, and I think all my sweet tea consumption had a major role in those pounds!  I was on the hunt for a sweet tea that wouldn’t taste fake, yet would have a bit healthier calorie count. I didn’t find anything until now, a few years later, but I am happy to report that Southern Breeze Sweet Tea is the real deal!

IMG_0151

You brew Southern Breeze Sweet Tea, just like you would brew regular sweet tea; boiling the water, then adding the tea bags and letting them steep for 5 minutes.  Then you refrigerate and let it cool down. That’s it!

IMG_0153 IMG_0155

The best part about Southern Breeze Sweet Tea is that it’s sweetened with Splenda and the sweetener is already added to the tea bags! This means we can drink it all the time and it’s zero calories!   Also, no more guessing on how much sweetener you need to add after the tea has been brewed! They take all the guess work out of it! Southern Breeze Sweet Tea is now available at Harris Teeter, Ingles, Wegman’s, and on Amazon.com.

My family grew up on tea, it’s very refreshing. I make mine with sugar, so am intrigued to learn more about the southern way and this awesome sounding tea with splenda in the bags! Thanks!

I sometimes think I was “born to be from the south” but alas was born in Philly (definitely NOT the south) and then moved to Princeton (again NOTHING southern about that place) but mom always made sweet tea. I never got the consistent “right” level of sugar … so this would be great to try.

I love sipping sweet tea on the balcony outside my bedroom on a hot summer night as I watch the sun set in the distance. I may live in New Mexico now, but one sip takes me back home to the south. <3

This is something I would like to try!! I hadn’t tried sweet tea until I was in Florida for our son’s wedding. I have tried to make it, but haven’t quite got it to how good as that was. I ‘m thinking this may just take me there. :o)

I have always lived n the south, therefor grew up on sweet tea. It is my drink of choice that is for sure. I have found that I have been drinking more of it lately to try to keep up with my little boy that is out for summer break. I don’t like coffee so I drink tea instead to get my caffeine fix.

Living out west, I only know “sweet tea” to be tea with sugar (or with Spenda…it does keep the calorie count down). I have never seen tea with sweetner in the bag!! Looks lovely!!! I drink iced tea every day, all year around up here in Washington!

Every summer we pull out the iced tea maker and any time we’re bbqing, we make tea and everyone adds their own sweetener. Per-sweetened tea bags sound like a brilliant idea!

I can’t help but recall my first experience of falling in love with sweet tea. It was the summer I spent in Charleston SC, I was young and fancy free. Pretty much went to a beach every day and toted along a thermos of sweet tea. Ahhhh…I returned to IL but my sweet tea has never been far from me. I keep it in the house to this day.

It’s really my husband that loves sweet tea. He hates any other kind of cold tea. He just doesn’t like it without the sugar. I make him a pitcher a week. It’s not enough to satisfy his sweet tea tooth, but it’s what the budget allows. I’m entering for him =)
