So now that we are on our way with a couch, pillows, tv console, and some decor, we need a new rug. Right now we just have a cream shaf rug that we bought for my son's nursery, but then ended up keeping in our living room when we moved. It will not match with the new decor, so it has to go. Out with the old, in with the new!! But, of course, my indecisiveness is getting the best of me. I have found a couple cute rugs, but I am just not sure which direction to take. Maybe since the pillows and decor will be busy, a solid rug would be best? I do like the idea of plush carpet because my son is playing on the floor a lot (and that means I am too...)...
Or maybe something a little more daring? I would love to have a printed rug, but I feel like it would end up clashing with all the other decor, or be too overwhelming....
And lastly, my favorite....
I just don't know! What do you think? Where do you shop for affordable yet nice rugs?

Neat! We've gotten ours on sale from Home Depot, and it's very plush and shaggy and I love it! Especially being on the floor with my little guy often! 🙂 I like the patterns! Go big and bold!!

Oh! Love, love the last one from West Elm (ikat print), it's a BEAUTIFUL piece and it's worth it! I love their pillows too! (but I can't afford them)

I like the diamond damask the best! Although I like the yellow rug, too! Which pillows did you end up going with? I think you should go with the solid gray or something that coordinates with the pillows 😀

I ended up going with that diamond grey and yellow print pillow, and an grey ikat pillow that I didn't post. I am going to try to make 2 on my own, with a yellow/grey ikat fabric I found, too! I will definitely post when I get them (hopefully soon!). I like the yellow rug too, but it might be too much? idk! But I agree, I think I will go with solid grey

Oh man that ikat rug is gorge! Check homegoods. They had two big ikat rugs for around 200 bucks. I wanted one bad but it was really bad timing. 🙁
