If you are looking for the bomb food in Miami, look no further. These are the Miami Restaurants you HAVE to try.

Just over a month ago I attended the BlogHer Food Bloggers Conference in Miami, FL, and I had the chance to do tons of fun activities over the weekend that I was there! I haven’t had a chance to blog about the actual conference yet (coming soon!), but I wanted to share this spectacular tour that I went on while in Miami.  Imagine the best food in South Beach paired with a beautiful day and the best tour guide ever, and you have the South Beach Miami Food Tour from Miami Culinary Tours. Now, this probably sounds extremely exciting already, but I have to say, even if you aren’t a food blogger, you would love this tour (and I’m not usually a big ‘tour’ type of person)!

Starting off, we met our tour guide, Mirka, just a couple blocks away from Ocean Drive and she directed our group (of about 12 people maybe) across the street to our first stop, Bolivar Restaurant, a delicious Colombian place. Not only do I love Colombian food (my husband is Colombian!), but it was named Best Colombian Restaurant in Miami Beach by The Sun Post, so I was very excited to try it out! We started off with a delicious typical Colombian cocktail and then an empanada (pastry stuffed with cheese) and patacone (fried plantain).

The empanada and the patacone were super delicious, and it was awesome because they actually set it up to be vegetarian for me (everyone else had meat variations)!

Next up we headed over to a local bakery for the most delicious dessert I have EVER encountered….

At Manolo’s On The Beach, they served up some fresh Churro’s with Dulce de Leche filling. These were to. die. for.  The craziest part? After checking out the menu, I found out these bad boys were only .80 cents!!!! 80 cents!! Can you believe that?! If I could have, I would have purchased a ton to bring back home with me, but I knew they wouldn’t hold up on the trip. Total bummer.

After a couple more stops we headed toward Ocean Drive and stopped at a couple places to see their Art-Deco style….

Then we headed to one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city, Naked Taco.

We strolled around Ocean Drive and Mirka, the guide pointed out various architecture and famous buildings along the way.

We stopped by a few more places to eat, but my absolute favorite was Blocks Deli. They had the tastiest sandwich in the world, and I can’t wait to go back to Miami to have another one…

The Sundried Hippie sandwich from Blocks Deli. It was DELICIOUS!

Oh! We also tried the classic Cuban Coffee, which people sell all over the place in Miami! It was super super super strong, and tasted like taking a straight shot of espresso….not sure it was for me, but a lot of people loved it!

Anyway, if you are in Miami you definitely need to check out this tour! It was a solid 2.5 hours and you got so much food along the way! Definitely go with an empty stomach and wear your sunscreen!  If you can, try to sign up with Mirka as your guide, as she was seriously awesome and made the tour super enjoyable! Miami Culinary Tours also has some other food tours, so be sure to check out their website and see what’s going on!

So fun! I lived near Miami for a year when I was in 9th grade and I feel like we didn’t take full advantage. This makes me want to get back and really experience everything!
