Happy Weekend!

Staining like a pro!

Since I have been totally slacking the last few weeks, we have a lot to catch up on!

We are working on:

— a mirror redo ($12.99 goodwill find, score!) for the mantle

— Some ‘mercury glass’ projects made with Krylon’s Looking Glass Spray (stay tuned for an awesome giveaway!)

— a night stand up-cycled into a side table for the living room

What are you working on this weekend?

I was working on enjoying the beautiful weather! Although, I have a to-do list of projects a mile long!

Oh! I did make some yarn ball turkeys with the kid 😉

I have a bunch going on too! It feels overwhelming! We are hosting Thanksgiving for the first time at our house this year and there’s so much I want to get done before everyone arrives. Time is going by wayyyy too quickly. I have some sidelight curtains that are all sewed up but I need to finish with the hand sewing parts. I need to remember to do that at night while I’m watching TV or something. I need to spray paint the chandelier in the dining room. I need to make some pillows for my couch. I need to frame some pictures and get them up on the walls too! We finally got the painting done in the downstairs hallway so I can finally hang stuff. We are 95% finished with our downstairs bathroom renovation too. We really just need to hang the mirror and clean it. Ahhh!

I’m excited about hosting Thanksgiving but nervous at the same time! Our kitchen is still unfinished (paint wise) but oh well. It’s just too much right now. The Hubs is getting surgery tomorrow so doing anything like that before Thanksgiving just ain’t gonna happen! On another note I ordered the fabric for my couch pillows today so once I get the fabric I will wash, cut and sew. I’m really exited about it! Spray painting the chandelier shouldn’t take me long at all so that can definitely be done before Thanksgiving. =]

Thank you! I finished the pillow forms last night and I am going to work on the covers this week before Thanksgiving!
