A couple weeks ago my son, Austin, was talking about having his best friend, Audrey, over to play again. It had been a few weeks since we had any playtime with her because of our busy schedules. So, we decided to invite her over and host #TheUltimatePlaydate!
Not only were the chalk and coloring books affordable already, but pairing them with the Juicy Juice we would get a big discount! Total mom win!
We picked out the 24 ct. of Crayola Sidewalk Chalk, the Color Wonders Planes coloring book/markers, the Juicy Juice Apple Fun Size boxes, and the Orange Tangerine jug of Juicy Juice (a new flavor to us!). I knew right off the bat that the kids would love the coloring and the juice, and then I had my husband set up a game with the chalk in our driveway. He made a bean bag toss by drawing a couple different sections and then a hole in the ‘board’. We explained to the kids that they had to get the bean bag in the hole, and they had a ball trying to get it in. Eventually, they discovered all the other fun colors of chalk and spent some time drawing on the driveway!
After that, we came inside to take a little break from the heat! The kids drank their Apple Fun Size Juicy Juice and colored some pages from the Color Wonders Plane book.
After they were finished with their juice, I had a craft up my sleeve so we could actually recycle the boxes! I love doing ‘green’ projects, and also enjoy teaching my son ways he can recycle too! We carefully cut the tops off of of the boxes, and then made them into little planters! By carefully adding soil, seeds, and then more soil, we had made little basil plants! Austin and Audrey had so much fun putting these together, and then were super excited to bring them outside and water them!
Little did the kids know that I had one more surprise for them…..
We were going to treat the kids to the delicious fresh berry Juicy Juice pops I made the day before! I simply added berries to the popsicle mold and then filled it with the Orange Tangerine Juicy Juice, and let them freeze overnight! They were the perfect refreshing snack!
Since it was hot outside the popsicles were melting fast, and you know what that means…lot’s of sticky drops everywhere! We changed them into their swimsuits and broke out the sprinkler! They could play, and wash away the mess all at once! Two more points for Mom!
These kids are obsessed with this sprinkler, and they have more fun squirting each other than they do running through the water! So silly! We also took out our fun slide and let them use it as a ‘water slide’ which is always a good time!
By this time, a couple hours had already passed and we were exhausted! The kids got cleaned up and changed and we said our good-byes! Austin said he had, ‘the best time with Audrey’, and it’s totally cute seeing them play together! Between the bean bag toss, the chalk on the driveway, making recycles planters, the popsicles, and then the sprinkler…both kids were out for the count at bedtime….just the way we like it! We had such a fun time putting together #TheUltimatePlaydate !!
Thanks for visiting!
