The Perfect Kitchen Accessory- Rubbermaid Deluxe Kitchen Drainer

    Rubbermaid 2

When we bought our house 2 years ago, I had very few requirements and having a dishwasher was one of them. I spend the pretty much the 8 years before that without a dishwasher, and I knew I was done with that!  I actually don’t mind washing dishes by hand, and sometimes I feel like it’s even easier than loading it in the dishwasher, but after 8 years of doing all your dishes by hand, anyone would want it a little easier!  The other problem with washing dishes by hand is that I could never find a dish drainer/rack that worked well.  They all would work okay but then a month later would have pink mold on the base or in the holder where the silverware goes.  The last thing anyone wants is mold where they dry their ‘clean’ silverware. Gross.

Now, even thought I have a dishwasher, it is still essential to have a dish drying rack. I have so many precious pots and pans that can’t be put in the dishwasher, and also tons of nice plates that I use while photographing food for Domestic Superhero posts.  I don’t risk putting these items in the dishwasher; I always wash them by hand and let them dry.

When I heard about the Rubbermaid Deluxe Kitchen Drainer, I knew I had to try it.  Not only is it spacious, but it also has Microban antimicrobial protection which protects from mold and mildew. The utensil space is HUGE so there is plenty of room for spatulas, whisks, knives, you name it! Then in the front there is a space for more delicate items such as wine glasses or baby bottles.  It has a very wide open design, which allows for bigger things to fit on the tray as well. There can be a little hang off the sides, and you don’t have to worry about things not fitting into the rack. Another thing I love about this Rubbermaid Dish Rack is that it’s available at Target! I love shopping at Target!

I have one and I totally agree with you that it's awesome!! Most of the Rubbermaid products I have are, though 🙂

This is very nice drainer! There are times when I do have to wash some things by hand if they can't go in the dishwasher.

I need one of these so many times I wash the dishes if there are only a few instead of letting them sit in the dishwasher but I just put them on a towel on the counter, this would make it so much easier. Love the chevron plate too 😉

I could definitely use one of those. Our house doesn't have a dishwasher and I really miss having one. A family of 6 uses a lot of dishes in a day!

It's time for a new one at my house. I like the design and structure of the Rubber maid product. It would be awesome to drain my dishes on it.

That's much nicer than my old, old, old version of whatever I'm using. I'll have to get one! Also, your dishes are cute!

I have been thinking about purchasing a new dish drainer for a while. I love how that one holds the canning lids!

I really need a dish drainer. I usually just put a towel on the counter for the dishes that don't make it into the dishwasher. I need to check this one out!

Ours just broke and we paid a lot of money for it. The little spout drain piece that falls into the sink broke off and I paid a lot for it - this looks like a good one!
