With two kids and a very busy schedule, I am constantly trying to come up with fast, easy, and healthy snacks that everyone will enjoy. When I heard about Somersaults snacks, I knew they would be great in an Easy Snack Mix recipe!
Somersaults snacks are a nutritionally dense superfood, packed with protein, fiber, vitamin E, and healthy fats; they are also cool because the #1 ingredient is sunflower seeds! Even though they come in 4 different flavors, I tried the Cinnamon variety first and it was SO good! I knew it would be perfect in this easy snack mix! I took the Somersaults and added raisins, chocolate chips, and toasted oats cereal (any brand works), and mixed them all together. I portioned the mix into portion control baggies, which helps keep your portion in check.
Between being a full time food blogger, Zumba instructor, and professional photographer, I have to keep snacks on hand that are easy to throw into my bag, and that are also help me stay healthy. Somersaults have 150 calories per package, 5-6 grams of protein, less than 3 grams of sugar, and are also 100% nut free and certified vegan.
I always toss a few packs, or the Easy Snack mix into my gym bag to make sure I have a snack in case I get hungry while I am on the go (which is ALL the time!). I love that Somersaults come in several flavors too; Sea Salt, Salt & Pepper, Cinnamon, Dutch Cocoa are the four flavors you can try, and you can pick them up online and in-store at select Target and Whole Foods Market retailers (check out the store locator for specific locations).
- 2 cups Somersaults
- ⅓ cup chocolate chips
- ⅓ cup raisins
- ½ cup Toasted Oats cereal

1. Mix together in a large bowl. Divide into ⅓-1/2 cup portioned servings and place into plastic bags.
You can use whatever flavor of Somersaults you want for this recipe, but I enjoyed cinnamon the most!
