Homemade Sweet Chili Sauce

August 5, 2015 1 Comment This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

I am so excited to share this delicious Homemade Sweet Chili Sauce with y’all!  I have been a huge fan of this sauce, since I started making recipes that call for a sweet chili sauce. I used to just buy it premade in the store, but then one day I was making dinner, and realized I didn’t have any when I needed it! I looked up the ingredients that typical sweet chili sauce have, and went from there. It’s really quite simple, and you can make a big batch of this, then store it your fridge for when you need it! I absolutely love red pepper flakes, and they definitely spice this recipe ...

Homemade Naan

June 10, 2015 51 Comments This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Growing up in Michigan, I had never tried Indian food; I am not sure why, but I think it had something to do with growing up in a place that didn’t have much diversity when it came to food. Once I moved to California, I started trying all kinds of cuisines, and I started an intense love affair with Indian food.  One of my first loves was naan- the perfect Indian bread is warm, soft, dipable, truly the best. I seriously loved it so much, I would seek out Indian lunch just so I could order my favorite, tikka masala, and scoop up the delicious sauce with the naan. So yum.  Over the ...

Garlic Ginger Spinach

February 25, 2015 7 Comments This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Over the last few weeks we have been doing a lot of juicing at my house. Most of our juices contain tons of spinach and ginger.  While I love ginger, if you put too much ginger in the juicer it seriously ruins the juice. It’s crazy because I LOVE ginger, but if you put too much in the juice, it’s way too over powering…to the point it actually burns my throat.  Anyway, so we have had our fridge stocked with healthy veggies and when I decided it was time to eat actual food, instead of just drink juice all day, I decided to make this delicious Garlic Ginger Spinach. We had tons of extra ...

Copycat Bang Bang Tofu

January 19, 2015 22 Comments This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Copycat Bang Bang Tofu is a delicious vegetarian version of Bonefish Grill's Bang Bang Shrimp! I used to love ordering the most amazing Bang Bang shrimp from Bonefish Grill.  The sauce is spicy yet sweet, and so delicious! I wanted a vegetarian style dish though, so I decided to make the sauce with a delicious battered style tofu. This copycat Bang Bang Tofu is a match made in heaven! I've shared several 'bang bang' recipes with you such as Bang Bang Shrimp Rice Bowls (Bonefish Grill copycat), Air Fryer Bang Bang Shrimp (with lightened sauce), Bang Bang Shrimp Quesadillas, and ...

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Imagine® Organic Culinary Simmer Sauces. Being a busy mom and wife, I often look for quick and easy ways to reduce dinner time prep, without sacrificing food quality and taste. By the time I get home from work in the evening, the last thing I want to do is spend an hour cooking dinner.  That’s one reason I love Imagine® Organic Culinary Simmer Sauces. They are super quick and convenient, and their flavors are spot on. They have four different types of sauces - Portobello Red Wine, Latin Veracruz, Thai Coconut Curry, and Louisiana ...

Firecracker Tofu with Brown Rice

October 1, 2014 3 Comments This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf Success® Rice. Dinner during the week gets so crazy sometimes…with school, work, a baby, and now extra curricular activities for my nearly 4 year old, there isn’t much time left to cook.  Once a week we are left ordering pizza or some various takeout because we simply don’t have the time or energy to make a decent meal.  However, being a vegetarian, take out options are limited. I love Chinese food, but most fast food Chinese places don’t have many veggie options other than noodles or rice; and recently while I was at Panda Express, ...

Baked Cream Cheese Rangoon

March 31, 2014 7 Comments This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Last month I had a really great opportunity to write a guest post for one of my favorite blogs, Lil' Luna, and I was delighted to share this recipe. Now that it's been a while, I wanted to share it with my readers as well, because it's just too delicious to miss out on!  I am obsessed with Chinese food, and I will pretty much make any excuse to indulge in it.  But lets be real, most Chinese take out isn’t exactly what you would call healthy. After spotting some of these wonton wrappers at my local grocery store, I decided to try my hand in making one of my favorite Chinese ...

Easy Asian Noodles

A couple months ago I was browsing a new local Farmer’s Market and I was finding all sorts of things I wanted to try.  Here in Atlanta they have a weird concept of ‘Farmers Markets.’ In the summer, they have outdoor fresh food markets, but year round they have these HUGE warehouses that house the widest variety of produce, meats, seafood's, and ethnic foods you would never ever find anywhere else locally.  It’s really cool actually. I was shocked the first time I went to one, and then I had to tell everyone about it.  Not only are they stocked with everything and anything you ...

Chipotle Ranch Dip

March 5, 2014 15 Comments This post may contain affiliate links. Read my disclosure policy.

Most of my regular readers know that I love dips and sauces. I love how you can really turn anything into a dip. I love chips and veggies and I love dipping them.  We always have some sort of sauce or dip stored on the top shelf of our fridge.  Lately I have been making lots of recipes with chipotle peppers, and I love the smoky spicy taste they add.  I really like the chipotle peppers in adobo sauce (found in your international aisle in a small can), as the sauce they are in is so good.  I had some left over from making some homemade enchilada sauce so I thought I would ...

This Zesty tasty sauce made popular by Outback Steakhouse is easy to whip up! Pair this Copycat Outback Bloom Sauce with a Bloomin' Onion or Onion rings for the perfect snack! My husband always says that (insert whatever food here) is just a vehicle for the sauce….whatever the sauce may be.  I love the sauce that gets served with the Bloomin’ Onion at Outback Steakhouse, so I wanted to get to the bottom of that recipe.  It’s tangy and spicy, and really would be delightful on anything you can dip….not just a bloomin’ onion.  Serve this Copycat Outback Bloom Sauce with ...
