Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers (KETO/Low Carb)

Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers are an appetizer staple, and this version will be your go-to recipe. Using the air fryer, they are done in under 10 minutes and amazingly delicious!

I love Jalapeno Poppers, but don’t love how long they take to make. I often buy them at the store, but you can save a TON of money by making them yourself, and its SUPER EASY! Using the Air Fryer is amazing for jalapeno poppers because it cooks so quickly and evenly. It takes 10 minutes to make this easy appetizer recipe from start to finish!

I love the Air Fryer! It’s an appliance than can pretty much do it all. I’ve shared so many easy air fryer recipes with y’all, Including Asparagus Fries, Avocado Fries, Air Fryer Hot Dogs and so many other air fryer recipes!

Like I said, making these Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers is EASY! Here’s how:

How to make Air Fryer Jalapeno Poppers:

Make the filling for the jalapeno poppers: Soften cream cheese (microwave 30 seconds), then add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic to the cream cheese. Add finely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese and Monterey cheese to the cream cheese. Mix with a fork until everything is completely combined.

Prep the jalapeños: Wash the whole jalapeños, then cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Set them aside. WASH YOUR HANDS!
Make the filling for the jalapeno poppers: Soften the cream cheese (microwave 30 seconds), then add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic. Add finely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese and Monterey cheese to the cream cheese. Mix with a fork until everything is completely combined.
Next, you are going to fill the poppers with the filling; Spoon the filling into the empty pocket until it’s full. I like to overfill them a little, but that is up to you!

Once you fill all of the jalapeno poppers, place them into the air fryer basket and close it.

Set the air fryer to 370 degrees F, then set the timer on 7 minutes. Once the time is up, open the air fryer and let them cool for a few minutes.

Remove carefully from the air fryer and top with cooked crumbled bacon and green onions if desired.

As I said, it couldn’t be easier to make jalapeno poppers in the air fryer! It’s quick, simple, and they turn out majorly delicious!

Ingredients

5 large jalapeños, cut in half and seeds removed

For the filling:

8 ounces cream cheese (I used 1/3 less fat)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tsp minced garlic (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
1/4 cup finely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 cup finely grated Monterey Jack cheese

For topping, optional

2 TBS cooked crumbled bacon
2 TBS green onions

Instructions

For the filling:

Soften cream cheese (microwave 30 seconds in microwave safe bowl or leave on counter for 30 minutes). Add salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic to the softened cream cheese. Add finely grated extra sharp cheddar cheese and Monterey cheese. Mix with a fork until everything is completely combined.

For the jalapeno poppers:

Wash the whole jalapeños, then cut them in half lengthwise and scoop out the seeds. Set them aside. WASH YOUR HANDS!
Fill the jalapeños with filling; Spoon the filling into the empty pocket until it’s full. I like to overfill them a little, but that is up to you!

A Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball is the perfect party or game day appetizer! It’s creamy with a little kick and crunch, and it’s majorly delicious and super easy to make!

I love making a classic cheese ball, but this year I decided to put a spin on it. Jalapeno Poppers are always such a hit that I decided to try out a Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball, and it is majorly delicious and addictive! It takes hardly any hands-on time to make! You can freeze it for future use, and it’s so tasty and unique! Perfect for game day, parties, potlucks, or anytime…this will be a favorite for years to come!

A Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball is simple to make and even more delicious!

How to make a Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball

Get all of the ingredients together for the Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball filling. Make sure the cream cheese is a bit softened. If it’s straight out of the fridge, remove it from the wrapper and place it in a microwave safe bowl. Cook for 30 seconds. In the bowl with the cream cheese, add shredded cheddar and pepper jack cheese, bacon, jalapeno, and the seasoning.
Using a fork, potato masher, or pastry blender, mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Use a spatula to clean the sides of the bowl and push everything to the center of the bowl.
Place a clean sheet of plastic wrap on the counter. Then, use the spatula to remove the cream cheese filling, and place it into the center of the plastic wrap. Loosely wrap the cream cheese mixture, and then form it into a ball (just do the best you can, it doesn’t have to be perfect). Wrap up tightly, then place in fridge for at least 2 hours.

TIP: I place the wrapped cheese ball into a bowl, then put in the fridge. It prevents the bottom of the cheese ball from getting too flat.

Get all the ingredients for the crunchy coating together. Toast the nuts lightly, then chop and set aside.
Using a baking sheet, add bread crumbs, bacon bits (or chopped bacon), pepper jack cheese, and jalapeños. Toss everything to combine.

Once the cream cheese mixture has been refrigerated for at least 2 hours, remove it from the fridge and form into a better ball. This will be easier since the mixture is firmer at this point.
Place the cheese ball at the end of the baking sheet and roll into the crumbs, pressing it down slightly to get the crumb mixture to stick into the ball. Repeat until the Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball is completely coated.

Serve the Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball immediately with crackers and other dippers!

Can I make the Jalapeno Cheese Ball ahead of time?

Yes, absolutely!

Make the cream cheese mixture, form into the ball, and place it in the fridge. This will keep in the fridge up to 5 days.
Make the outside coating right before serving the Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball, and coat the cheese ball up to a few hours before serving.

TIP: If you coat the cheese ball ahead of time, you risk letting the crunchy coating get soggy and that’s no good!

How to freeze a cheese ball:

Make the cream cheese filling, form into a ball using plastic wrap, cover completely, wrapping tightly with a few layers of plastic wrap.
Place the Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball into a freezer safe bag (I like the gallon size); place into freezer.
Will keep up to 6 months in the freezer.
Remove and place in fridge the day before you’d like to serve the Jalapeno Popper Cheese Ball. Coat the cheese ball up to a few hours before serving.

Ingredients

For cream cheese mixture:

16 ounces cream cheese, softened (2 packs)
1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 cup shredded pepper jack cheese
2 TBS cooked bacon or bacon bits, chopped
2 small jalapenos, seeded and diced finely
2 stalks green onions or chives, chopped
1/4 tsp cumin
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic powder

For the coating:

1/3 cup chopped toasted nuts, cashews/almonds/walnuts/pine nuts will all work
1/3 cup Italian Style Seasoned Bread Crumbs
2 TBS bacon bits or chopped cooked bacon
1 small jalapeno, seeded and diced finely
2 TBS shredded pepper jack cheese, roughly chopped

Instructions

For the cream cheese filling:

In a medium to large mixing bowl, add cream cheese, pepper jack cheese, cheddar cheese, bacon, jalapeno, green onions, and seasonings.
Using a fork, potato masher, or pastry blender, mix all the ingredients thoroughly.
Use a spatula to scrape the sides of the bowl and push everything to the center of the bowl.

Jalapeno Popper Casserole

With the weather getting cooler, I am always craving comfort foods! This Jalapeno Popper Casserole is full of delicious Reames Frozen Egg Noodles, chicken, cheese, and jalapeños, then topped with a crunchy topping. This will be a family favorite for years to come!

Jalapeno Popper Casserole is a quick and easy meal that the whole family will love. Although it has jalapeños, I wouldn’t characterize this meal as too spicy. If you are sensitive to spice, you can always reduce the amount of jalapeños, which shouldn’t affect the overall taste of the casserole much. This recipe is also SUPER convenient because I always use Reames Frozen Egg Noodles. They can be found in the frozen section, so they are easy to make, yet have a very thick homemade hearty texture that is perfect in any casserole or soup. These noodles are made from only three ingredients (flour, water and eggs), are never dried, and contain no preservatives. Using Reames will make your recipes taste and look homemade, even though you don’t have to do any of the work making them! This Homemade Chicken and Noodles recipe makes that clear!

How to make Jalapeno Popper Casserole:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Boil 24 oz package of Reames Frozen Egg Noodles, strain, and set aside.

Make a roux using butter, garlic, jalapeños. Once they come to a boil, add flour, then mix to combine. Add milk and whisk to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to a simmer and watch the roux thicken up. Add a bit of the cheese, then mix to melt.

In a large bowl, add Reames Frozen Egg Noodles, the roux, chicken, and shredded cheese. Stir to combine.

In a little bowl mix panko bread crumbs, chopped jalapenos, salt, pepper, and cheese.
Add the casserole mixture to an oven safe baking dish or skillet, then sprinkle panko mixture over the top. Cover with foil loosely. Place into preheated oven and cook for 10 minutes.

Remove foil from casserole and switch oven to broil. Broil for 2-4 minutes, watching closely so the breadcrumbs do not burn. Once they are browning, remove from the oven and serve!

Jalapeno Popper Casserole

24 oz Reames Homestyle Egg Noodles (can be found in the frozen section)

For Roux:

3 TBS butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large jalapeno, seeded and minced
2 TBS flour
1 1/2 cups milk
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

For casserole:

2 cups shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
1/2 cup pepperjack cheese, shredded
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper

For breadcrumb topping:

1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1 small jalapeno, seeded and diced
2 TBS shredded pepperjack cheese, chopped
oil spray

Instructions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Boil Reames Frozen Egg Noodles for 13 minutes, strain, set aside.

For the roux:

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add butter, garlic, and jalapeños. Once the butter is melted, sauté for 2 minutes. Add flour, mix to combine. Add milk slowly and whisk to combine. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to a simmer and watch the roux thicken up. Add 1/4 cup cheese, mix to melt. Remove from heat, set aside.

For casserole:

In a large bowl, add Reames Frozen Egg Noodles, the roux mixture, chicken, and shredded cheese. Stir to combine.

For topping:

In a little bowl mix panko bread crumbs, chopped jalapeños, salt, pepper, and cheese.

For cooking:

Now that we are in the midst of football season, it’s always fun sharing football food with friends. We love supporting my husband’s alma matter, the Georgia Bulldogs, and we’ve made a tradition out of making an appetizer for family and friends to snack on during the game. These Jalapeno Popper Bombs only have 8 ingredients, take about 30 minutes to make, and will have your whole house cheering for more! Y’all have to try these Jalapeno Popper Bombs for your next get together (or for dinner, just saying..), because everyone will LOVE them! I have made them twice now, and whenever I do people are begging me for the recipe. When we were having them last time, it was so funny because my youngest son went straight for these Jalapeno Popper Bombs. We didn’t realize he was eating these ones, and not the regular non-spicy version. All of a sudden he was yelling because it was spicy, but we still didn’t realize why! After he told us his ‘mouth was spicy’, we gave him some milk and had a good laugh because we were surprised he kept eating it! Keep your eyes on the kiddos around these because they do pack a kick of spice! Also, no one ever believes they are only eight ingredients and take 30 minutes to make. Jalapeno Popper bombs are seriously the BOMB appetizer. They’re so simple to make, too.

You definitely need to use Pillsbury Biscuits for this recipe! I like the Homestyle Buttermilk 8 count package, in the flakey original style. Pillsbury biscuits just make the perfect dough base for the Jalapeno Popper Bombs. In a bowl, mix your filling together and then cut your biscuits in half; stretching them out a bit. Scoop about a tablespoon of filling into the center of the each biscuit and then pull the dough up from the sides to close them up. Next, pop them into your skillet or baking dish, brush some melted butter and parmesan cheese over the top, and bake! Once they are done, brush some more butter over the top, sprinkle with some more cheese and parsley, and serve…SO EASY!

Jalapeno Popper Bombs

Ingredients

Ingredients for bombs:

1 package Pillsbury Homestyle Buttermilk 8ct Flaky Layer Original (8ct), each biscuit cut in half
4 ounce can pickled jalapenos drained and chopped
8 ounces cream cheese softened
3 ounces pepper jack cheese shredded
1 clove garlic minced
2 TBS butter melted
1 TBS parmesan cheese

Ingredients for topping once baked:

1 TBS butter melted
1 ounce pepper jack cheese shredded
1 TBS parsley minced

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium bowl mix together jalapenos, cream cheese, 3 oz. pepper jack cheese, and garlic; set aside.
Taking 1/2 piece of biscuit dough, flatten and stretch it out slightly. Add about 1 TBS jalapeno mixture to the center of the dough, then pull the side up and press together to seal and close. Repeat for all dough.
Using a cast iron skillet or round baking dish coated with nonstick spray, place bombs slightly apart, so they are not touching but not too far apart. Brush 2 TBS melted butter over the top and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Place into oven and cook for 30 minutes. Remove and add 1 TBS butter over the top and 1 ounce pepper jack cheese. Place back into oven for 1 minute to melt cheese. Remove. Sprinkle parsley over the top and serve!

Jalapeno Popper Cheese Bread

Jalapeno Popper Cheese Bread is the perfect blend of spice and creaminess topped with crunchy bacon. This appetizer will not last long at your next party!

As a huge fan of cheese and jalapeños, I decided it was time to put these bad boys together and make one awesome appetizer. Jalapeno Popper Cheese Bread is like the ultimate party dish. By taking a classic appetizer, theJalapeno Popper, deconstructing it, and slathering it onto a load of crispy fresh bread, you have the tastiest most mouthwatering recipe ever! Like I mentioned earlier, I LOVE jalapeños and also cheese (who doesn’t love cheese?!), but I absolutely hate cooking with jalapenos. Why? Because the residue they leave on your hands is soooo nasty! On more than one occasion I have rubbed my eye after touching a jalapeno, and it is NOT pretty. It’s actually horrible and you can expect your eye to burn like a laser is shooting into it for hours. It’s horrible.

However, when cooking with them, you HAVE to touch them…there is no way around it, unless you wear gloves, but I don’t love messing with those either. I have come up with a pretty good routine to avoid Jalapeno residue in my eyes, and it includes immediately washing with Lava Soap.

Right after I’m done with the jalapeños, I wash my hands immediately with Lava Soap. I love Lava Soap because it really gets EVERYTHING off your hands. You don’t have to worry about the nasty residue being left anywhere on your skin, which is reassuring. I like to order my soap off Amazon, but they sell it in stores as well.

You can even use Lava Soap outside of the kitchen; it’s great for getting grime, grease, paint, ink, glue and much more off your hands. We keep them all around our house, but especially in the kitchen and in our mud room where I wash my hands after doing dirty work around the house and garage. I love it!

Back to our delicious Jalapeno Popper Bread…it’s a VERY simple recipe. All you need is some cheese, jalapenos, spices, and if you want, bacon (who doesn’t want bacon?!). I’ve made it several times now, and people rave about it with and without the bacon. If you know there are going to be some vegetarians around, you might want to do half the bread with bacon, and leave half without bacon…up to you!

When should you make this Jalapeno Popper Bread?

Having a girl’s night in?! Whip up Jalapeno Popper bread to make everyone happy!
If you are attending a holiday potluck or summer BBQ, make it ahead of time, but don’t bake it. Stick it in the fridge until 45 minutes before you need to leave. Then pop it in the oven for 30 minutes, cover it in foil and bring it to your party HOT! People will love it!
It’s also great for Birthday Parties or Anniversaries…nothing says I love you like Jalapeno Popper Bread!
I love whipping this bread up for fun activities like watching the BIG GAME or your favorite Sunday night show..Like Game of Thrones. Do ittttt!

Ingredients

1 loaf of crusty fresh bread, cut in half - like French or Italian from the bakery
8 ounces cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese divided
1/2 cup shredded pepper jack cheese

pinch of salt and pepper
2 jalapeños diced
1 jalapeño chopped into thin rounds
2 green onions chopped and divided
3 strips bacon cooked and roughly chopped

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
In a large bowl, add cream cheese. Microwave for 45 seconds to soften. Add sour cream, garlic, salt, pepper, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, pepper jack cheese, diced jalapeños, 1 green onion; mix with a fork until completely combined.
Lay your bread halves inside up, and pull out a little bit of the bread from the centers, making a small indentation (you don't need to take a lot). Spread half the cream cheese mixture on one side, then the rest on the other side. Sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese over the top. Sprinkle bacon over the top. Add jalapeño rounds and remaining green onions.
Cover/tent loosely with foil (careful not to push foil down as we don't want the cheese to stick to the foil). Place into oven for 15 minutes. Remove foil, turn oven to broil. Broil for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is lightly browned and bubbling. Watch VERY closely as it can burn quickly on broil.
Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes. Cut into slices and serve.

Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Black Bean Burgers are deliciously cheesy, spicy hot, and protein packed black bean burgers! Perfect for the meatless grill option!

Since we are in the middle of summer, we have been utilizing our grill as much as possible, and I’ve been having a great time coming up with fun recipes for summer. I decided to make these Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Black Bean Burgers a few weeks ago, and of course paired them with Heineken when serving them to our guests over the weekend. The creamy spiciness of these mouthwatering burgers, paired with the three main ingredients of Heineken, barley, hops and water, are a match made in heaven!

Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Black Bean Burgers are the perfect way to kickoff your weekend. We are vegetarians, so we love making black bean burgers, but you could also make this recipe with beef. Just make the filling and stuff it in there – then grill it up! It’s really simple, and your guests will think you slaved over this for hours…little do they know! I topped these with provolone cheese, but any cheese would work, and then slathered on some of the left over cream cheese/jalapeno mixture. Let me tell you, these were nothing short of decadent and majorly delicious.

You are going to ‘fire-roast’ your jalapenos for this recipe, which can either be done on the grill, or under the broiler. I did mine under the broiler, and it took about 10 minutes. Just set that bad boy on high and let it do its thing. The skins will get charred and when they are blackened you know they are ready to come out. Dice them up and mix them up with some softened cream cheese. This is what you will stuff into the burgers, and then save a little bit to slather on your rolls.

I put about 1-2 TBS of the cream cheese mixture in the middle of the burger, then covered it with some more burger mixture. Make sure you press down on the sides a bit so it doesn’t come oozing out when you cook it. My friends absolutely loved theses burgers and what better time to share good food and drinks than summer?!

Since everyone coming to our house is a big fan of spice, I decided to top the burgers with a sliced jalapeno as well. Since they are roasted, they aren’t quite as spicy as uncooked, but if you don’t like a lot of spice, then go ahead and leave these off.

The best part is when you bite into these Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Black Bean Burgers and are surprised by the creamy spicy layer in the center. It’s SO good!

Jalapeno Popper Stuffed Black Bean Burgers

Ingredients

Ingredients for burgers

1/2 onion chopped
1 jalapeno seeded and chopped
3 garlic cloves
14.5 ounces black beans I used canned, but you can also use cooked dry beans as well, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup corn frozen or fresh is fine, at room temperature
1 green onion chopped
2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp curry powder
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/4 cup breadcrumbs plain

Ingredients for filling

4 ounces cream cheese softened
2 jalapenos diced
olive oil

Ingredients for topping

4 rolls
4 slices provolone cheese
4 jalapenos

Instructions

Put onion, jalapeno (1) and garlic into a food processor and pulse for a few seconds. Add beans, oats, corn, green onion, cumin, curry powder, and cayenne pepper. Add breadcrumbs and pulse for about 20 seconds or until fully mixed. Scrape downs sides of the bowl and process for 10 seconds.
Place mixture into a bowl, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. While that is chilling...
Preheat oven broiler on HIGH. Place jalapenos (6 total - 2 for cream cheese mixture and 4 for topping) in oven safe baking dish, and brush jalapenos lightly with olive oil. Place into oven and broil on high for about 10 minutes or until skins are slightly blackened. Set aside.
In a small bowl, combine softened cream cheese and 2 diced roasted jalapenos, set aside.
Form black bean mixture into four small equal patties (using a 1/3 cup measuring cup works well), make an indentation in the center of the patties, then add about 1-2 TBS cream cheese mixture. Add a bit more black bean mixture of the top and press sides to seal (see photos).
Preheat grill on medium high heat. Using a grill tray (or you will have a mess on on your hands), sprayed/brushed with olive oil, set the burger patties on the tray, and place onto the grill. Close the lid and grill for about 8 minutes. Flip patties over and close lid, cooking for about 5 more minutes, or until crisped.
Place burgers on rolls, add cheese and sliced jalapenos if desired. Spread about 1 TBS of cream cheese mixture onto the roll, and close the burger. Serve immediately with Heineken!
