This year has come to an end so I wanted to share my best recipes of 2017! Here is a list of 11 of 2017’2 Best Recipes from Domestic Superhero!
#1 – Spicy Thai Noodles
No surprise here! One Pot Spicy Thai Noodles has been one of the best recipes on Domestic Superhero since I posted it over two years ago. If you like this easy recipe, you definitely should check out the One Pot Spicy Thai Zoodles and the Spicy Thai Chicken Tenders.
Not another shocker here, as this Broccoli Cheese Stuffed Spaghetti Squash has been uber popular since I posted it. I love how healthy it is (314 calories per serving), but it is sooo filling and easy to make! If you like spaghetti squash, be sure to check out my newer recipes, Caprese Spaghetti Squash and Lasagna Stuffed Spaghetti Squash.
While not a traditional recipe, I put out an easy 1 minute ‘how to make’ video on this BEST Homemade Playdough recipe, and it gained some more popularity. There is definitely no competition when it comes to homemade playdough as this is hands down the best recipe! It doesn’t stain your hands, takes only a few minutes to whip up, is ultra soft, and lasts up to 3 months!
These potatoes are the bomb when it comes to homemade potatoes. People were making this recipe nonstop around Easter, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The BEST EVER Salty Herbed Smashed Red Potatoes are the perfect side dish to any meal, and they are easy to make! If you these easy potatoes, be sure to try out our Buffalo Mashed Potato Pancakes and Buffalo Potato Wedges.
Skinny Bruschetta Chicken has been favorite on Domestic Superhero forever! I posted this recipe FOUR years ago and it’s just tried and true. It is super healthy, so great for those New Year goals, and also incredibly easy to make. If you like bruschetta recipes, be sure to check out my Bruschetta Chicken Pasta, Bruschetta Ravioli, and BLT Bruschetta!
#6 – Honey Sesame Tofu
One of the most popular vegetarian recipes, this Honey Sesame Tofu is the perfect fake-out take-out meal, and it’s also an easy and delicious way to make tofu. I always recommend this recipe to people who say they don’t like tofu, because usually they just don’t know how to cook it! Definitely try this if you are or aren’t a fan of tofu, and then try out my General Tso’s Tofu (was on the top 10 last year), Bang Bang Tofu, and the Easy Baked Tofu!
These Copycat PF Chang’s Spicy Green Beans are definitely a crowd pleaser. People seem to love a good copycat recipe, and these green beans definitely satisfy! If you like copycat recipes, check out my ZAX Sauce and Copycat Outback Bloomin’ Sauce.
This Best Ever Homemade Chunky Blue Cheese Dressing is cool, creamy, tangy, and full of chunky blue cheese crumbles. It’s incredibly easy and delicious! One reader just commented on the recipe, “This was amazing. I will never buy the bottled junk again!!! Thank you for a great recipe”, and so many other reviews like this. Stop wasting your money on bottled dressing and make it at home – it’s SO easy! I also have delicious recipes for Creamy Jalapeno Ranch and Chipotle Ranch – YUM!
One Pot Spaghetti with Meat Sauce is the perfect simple weeknight meal using only ONE pot! Everyone raves about this easy dinner dish because it is only one pot, perfectly flavored, and super easy! The cleanup is minimal too since it’s made in ONE pot! I have soooo many one pot recipes on Domestic Superhero; One Pot Creamy Jalapeno Pasta and One Pot Tomato Basil Pasta are especially popular!
If you are a fan of sauces, this Copycat Outback Bloom Sauce is definitely for you! I love it on pretty much everything…onion petals (recipe here!), onion rings, french fries, fish…you name it, it’s delicious on it! People love Outback and the Bloomin’ Onion, so it’s not hard to believe that this Sauce is so popular.
Even though this No Mayo Avocado Tuna Melt is not in the top 10, it’s still one of the most popular recipes on Domestic Superhero. Now that the New Year is here, with all those healthy eating resolutions, I know this recipe is going to propel to the top of the list for January. It’s delicious and feels totally guilty because of how creamy it is, but it’s actually the avocado that makes it feel so decadent. Bonus points because avocado is super healthy!
So that’s a wrap for 2017! I hope that 2018 continues to bless everyone and bring lots of joy, prosperity, and good food!
