DIY Chalkboard Serving Tray

Chalkboard serving tray 1

Since we moved into our house last year, I have been looking for a nice serving tray that would be able to carry a ton of stuff back and forth from the kitchen to the dining room or outside to the patio.  I looked high and low, but never found anything that really fit the bill.  Then, one day I was browsing one of my favorite DIY blog, Shanty 2 Chic, and came across a genius do it yourself idea of making a serving tray, and having it be partly chalkboard so you can label whatever is on it, if needed.  I had to make it! I literally ran out to Home Depot the same day, and picked … [Read more...]

Sharing with Domestic Superhero Link Party #19

link1

This week has been a slower week over at Domestic Superhero...I am on vacation, so I have only had 1 post go up...but it's definitely worth a look! Despite being slow with posts this week, the link party last week was great! We had some awesome things linked up and I am going to share the most popular! Abby from Just a Girl and Her Blog (a regular over here!) had the most clicked post with How She Organized Her Life.  There are tons of great tips on how to get organized in here! Now, this is probably irrelevant if you aren't a blogger, but if you are, you MUST read 'Are you … [Read more...]

Blueberry Basil Margaritas

Blueberry Basil Margarita 2

During the summer I love going to BBQ's and outings where special cocktails are in abundance.  I love coming up with new combinations for fun drinks, and this summer I am on a total Margarita kick.  I decided to make a margarita similar to my Strawberry Basil Margaritas and it did not disappoint.  Some of my friends actually said they liked this one better than the Strawberry version!  Like the Strawberry Basil Margaritas, these are super easy to make, and only require a couple ingredients.  I am a huge believer in the frozen cans of limeade, they seriously … [Read more...]

Sharing with Domestic Superhero Link Party #18

This week

We are halfway into summer and I can't believe how fast it's passing by.  We leave on Saturday for the beach and I cannot wait for vacation!  Where has everyone been or going this summer?  This past week I posted 2 new recipes, and had a giveaway end as well (congrats Andreea!).   If you haven't already, check out the 2 new recipes: Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins and a Artichoke & Tomato Frittata. Now on to the features from last week!     It's not shocking that I wasn't the only one who thought that Abby's master bedroom reveal was jaw dropping … [Read more...]

Artichoke and Tomato Frittata

Artichoke and Tomato Frittata

I really love making frittatas because they are so easy and you can pretty much throw anything into them.  We always have eggs around our house, so if some night I have no clue what to make for dinner, I can usually turn to some sort of frittata.  For this particular frittata, I knew I wanted to use tomatoes because I had a bunch in the fridge that would have gone bad otherwise, and I hate wasting food.  I didn't see much else to use in our fridge, but I knew we had some canned artichoke hearts in the pantry. Score! I LOVE artichokes!  Mixing them together with a little … [Read more...]

The Best Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread2

If you haven't tried The Best Banana Bread or Muffin recipe, (you are seriously missing out) this is the perfect time to go ahead and make it!  If you happen to have a small sweet tooth, like I do, then you might like the addition of chocolate chips to this recipe.  The recipe is the same, however you toss in a couple handfuls of chocolate chips to liven them up!  This recipe can be made in muffin tins, or as a loaf.  A loaf will take more time to cook, but is equally delicious.  These make the perfect housewarming gift! … [Read more...]
